The short of it... 2 out of 3 menu items I tried- FAN. TASTIC. The 3rd, still pretty good! The long of it... where do I start??? About 10 minutes off the Dallas highway, housed in the former Faux's Countryside Inn, a longtime fixture in this neck of the woods. On Tuesdays it is currently trivia night, I was unaware. This made for a bustling bar side of the establishment, but I did not want to sit on the regular dining side, they were cleaning up, I knew the kitchen wouldn't be open much longer. I prefer quieter when I order food, but I wasn't going to let trivia get in the way. I ordered from their extensive menu at about 8:40 (kitchen closes at 9p on Tue), he opted out because he had already eaten, and was interested in perusing the whiskey selection, perhaps for something different. They didn't disappoint, they had a lot to choose from, Powers, Bushmills, and Dickel with many others. There's more to life than Jack and they know it! But about the food... the shrimp kisses are phenomenal! I doubt I'd want to kiss anyone after eating these but... Good sized shrimp and some jalapeño, wrapped tightly in bacon and deep fried. Just a tad spicy, perfect. They are served with a side of cocktail sauce, but I KNOW there is something out there that would compliment these better, as good as they are! Next up, crawfish etouffe! This dish is the reason I was here. Great portion, great taste! Lots of Mississippi mud bugs, celery, red and green peppers galore! And that sauce! Served with rice, of course, chose Brussels spouts as my side. Now I could be wrong, but I believe they are frozen. Sprinkled with a bit of bacon and something else I forget, but they just didn't have the flavor punch I expected after trying my other food. They were gone anyway... I am SO looking forward to coming back, I have my eye on the gator bites and crab cakes next... After my meal last night I can't wait to try the other items that I know used to be on the menu at The French Quarter/ Voodoo Lounge years ago. The place was great choice in Luzerne at the time. I think I also see a crazy good French dip sub in my future, with an Attitude Adjustment slushie... if you haven't already...

Nothing short of amazing. I went with my family for my birthday and all of the food was quite literally perfect. Bang Bang Shrimp is delicious but personally just not for me 100%. The gator bites were incredible and the white bbq sauce was something I've never had before but a decent surprise. The lemon pepper calamari is the best calamari I've ever had period. The caesar salad was also amazing, and as someone who isn't a fan of croutons, these were mini and were all eaten. The boneless bites were just alright, but it's just chicken so there's not a whole lot going on anyway and it was delicious regardless. While my family got regular wings, I didn't try one however the "body bag" sauce is one of the hottest sauces I've ever tried. It was so hot we took them home and plan on doing an endurance challenge. Finally I ordered "The Stack" which at the time of writing this was very, VERY pricey ($69.95 to be exact) but it was probably the best meal of my life. It's a filet mignon with a crab cake and scallops on top, shrimp and crab meat surrounding it, and all with a cream sauce on top (not sure what it was called). I ordered my steak medium rare and it was JUICY. The crab cake was absolutely amazing as well as the rest of the dish. The only part I didn't eat was the shrimp shells and the scallops, but I did give my scallops to someone who enjoys them.

Crabby Ron's is a pretty expensive place and the decor isn't all that pleasing (at least the dining area), but the food was absolutely perfect and the service was excellent as well. I would definitely recommend going...

Usually not one to complain , after reading some of these reviews I can see why I am . Sat at a table and of course silverware had dried food on it . Ok no prob right ? Asked the server for a new set and she rolled her eyes. Ok again maybe she was having a bad day ! Ordered water for the table as we were gonna discuss what else we would like to order and again waitress seemed mad ? We heard her walk away from the table saying to another server yup I got one of them ! When she returned with the water we ordered a few cocktails . She returned with them and they were the wrong ones completely . We said to her we order something different and must have measured up the order . She argued back she was busy and really didn’t have time for this and she’s very busy so do we want the drinks or not ? Wow ! We sent them back and didn’t have them of course and stayed with just water that we had to keep begging to get refilled. Ordered food again wrong order ! Gave us different items but at this time we were all hungry and one of us were diabetic and needed to eat . ( food she gave us was worth a lot more than what we ordered so it was a bonus for us) food was descent I mean I thank the table that ordered for us that didn’t get what we did ! At that point we were finishing up didn’t offer dessert / drinks nothing at all . All we can see is she was running around the whole dining room like a crazy person . I hope the owner really sits down and maybe does a little more training on his server Danette or Dany they call...

I had a very pleasant dining experience at Crabby Ron's. Although there is seating available in the bar area, my girlfriend and I decided to eat in the dining room. Although we made reservations for 7 p.m. on a Friday night, there were a few tables open in what was a mid-sized dining room. The creamy, oven-baked crab dip appetizer was very good, providing a cheddar cheese topping and a spicy heat that was not overbearing. My only recommendation is that it be served with pieces of bread as opposed to tortilla chips, as it made the overall dish a bit too salty. The hot garlic parmesan wings were exceptional. The wet sauce, similar to the crab dip, was spicy enough to keep eating without requiring one to take a breather so their lips can cool down. I had some left over and took them home, and they were even tastier the next day! The Chicken Francese was also a good meal. The chicken was tender and moist, and the sauce was thick and flavorful. The brussel sprouts with bacon pieces side dish was also delicious. Although the name of the establishment suggests a seafood restaurant, there is a lot more, including prime rib, pasta, and more. Although a bit pricey, the food is worth the cost. One should patronize this place when looking for a nice night out.

Bad food worse service! On the website it says our food is made to order! NOT! I had mashed and Brussel sprouts and they were over done and tasteless. Food came out to fast to be made to order. Crab cakes were not all leg crab there was filler crab in there as well. They were ok definitely not made to order. My wife had crab lump dinner which had tomato’s in it and was gross. She also had an old yellow potato and stale bread which could have broke a tooth! This was $68 for two people and was not worth the money. Go else where for better food

Crabby's is off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. The seafood is very fresh and is prepared in a bunch of different ways from just steamed, to fried, to au gratin. The service was pretty quick and friendly and although higher priced than most places in the area, I would say it was worth every penny. If they have them on special that night, make sure you try the fried alligator bites.
