My lady and I were driving around after church, searching for soul food spots. We tried 3 different spots but for various reasons, could not order food. (Pay system was down, closed down, no parking available). So we then decided to just return home. On the way, we happened to pass by this place, so we stopped. There’s minimal parking and there’s no dining in, only take out. The atmosphere is about what you’d expect from a “hole in the wall,” spot. The wait time for the food was better than I expected as our food came out relatively fast. We each ordered a plate, which came with 1 meat, 3 sides, 2 slices of bread, and a cup of bbq sauce. They also came with multiple slices of dill pickles and pickled jalapeño peppers. My lady ordered a sausage plate with baked beans, greens (turned out to be collards) and mac and cheese. I ordered a beef brisket plate with greens, potato salad and baked beans. The brisket was pretty good. The baked beans were good. They turned out to be a little spicy, and I don’t care much for spicy food simply because I sweat too easily, and don’t like sweating over my food. The greens were ok. But the potato salad was great! My lady LOVED the potato salad as well! The sausage my lady ordered was good, but the Mac and cheese sucked. But I’ve never really found legit, homemade Mac and cheese since moving here more than 6 years ago. (Originally from Florida) The 2 plates together totaled just over $30. Definitely worth it, and we’ve added this spot to our list of faves. I’ve added pictures of our plates so you can see the portion sizes, which I thought were good for the prices.

I’ve ordered a few time thru DoorDash and every time I am more than pleased. I’ve had the loaded potatoes which are so huge and so full of flavor. The brisket sandwich is packed with meat and very filling. The ribs were perfect, not falling off the bone but super tender. The chicken was smoked perfectly. The baked beans and Mac and cheese was really good. The ONLY thing I didn’t care for was the potato salad. My new goto bbq spot when I don’t want to cook myself!!

Great portions for the price. The ribs were tender and juicy. You can taste the wood they use to smoke it. The ribs are so tender and fall off the bone you can cut it with a spoon. Everything was seasoned to perfection and yummy. I would highly recommend if you are a bbq connoisseur. I can’t say enough good things about this establishment.

I tried this hidden gem through Doordash on a whim. WOW!!!! The portions are great for the price.

More importantly, the food is PHENOMENAL! I hardly ever leave reviews for food I Dash, but I had to make an exception here. I'd commit crimes for these baked beans alone. The mac is cheesy and actually seasoned. The chopped beef sandwich is huge and meat is tender.

This is the kind of food I have been craving in Dallas--the kind that moves your soul and makes your tastebuds dance!

Easily one of my favorite BBQ joints in Dallas. Thanks for...

I haven't been here in a year or so. Decided to try my luck with ordering a whole brisket cause it's hard to find good barbecue, especially where I stay now. Glad to say this place is still delicious. Brisket was huge, Very tender and flavorful. And Mr Shawn was A1 with his customer service. I greatly appreciate him!! He made my family become customers of his. Anytime we want barbecue, this is the place to go! I stay a little far away but I dnt mind making a trip when the food and service is top tier! Yall go get...
