I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. In fact, when people came in when I was trying to even eat a few bites of the food I was served. I felt like telling them don't order go somewhere else you'll be better off. The food was not Seasoned or flavorful at all. It was so blind I actually threw almost the entire meal away. The beans and rice were blind that enchiladas or something. I would expect from taco bell, And then I had their quesobirra taco, which It's about the only thing that was edible, But even the dipping sauce for that was so bland. And about halfway through her significant other brought her Child in, Who proceeded to play a loud iPad throughout the whole restaurant. Screaming mama mom over and over until her mom finally answered three minutes later, saying she would get her some food. It was very unpleasant experience from start to finish and all honesty. I would never come back here again

The Mex fare in Cd'A is as you'd expect. It's not bad, but it's certainly not memorable. Enter...Mi Jalisco. This family is not afraid to use spices. Nothing glaringly overpowering, but way above what we've grown to expect in this town. Seems to be Mom and Dad on the plancha, and a son on the cash register. It's not a big place, tucked in a strip business area off of Gov Way, but it is pretty popular judging by the folks coming in/out for to-go dinners. One thing of note is they close at 6PM on days they're open, and that can make it tricky for dinner diners. I don't think they'd turn anyone away at 5:50PM, but I for one would never feel comfortable rollin' in right before they close. That is their business model, and it's cool with me. The food is absolutely delicious--by the way--and very affordable for 2024...

Speaking as someone from Southern California who is a stickler for real, authentic Mexican food, this is my absolute favorite Mexican joint in Coeur d'Alene. If you go to Mi Jalisco any day of the week during the lunch hour, this place is just PACKED full of Spanish-speaking Mexicans - to me, this is the real test of any place claiming to be authentic. This place hits all the right marks as far as good Mexican food is concerned. 999 out of 10 would recommend any day of the week!!!!

Another local Mexican food spot that is owned and worked by Latinx or Chicanx people. I really love coming here, the guys here are so polite and friendly. Anything I've tried (carnitas, chicken, and asada tacos, and chicken and asada burritos) has been amazing. The hot sauce here is SO GOOD. You don't have to drench your food in it or anything to like help the food, it only adds to how delicious everything is. The rice and beans are also a personal favorite. The prices here are really fair, and they have cans AND bottled soda and I would say they're worth it. If you want some good flavorful Mexican food here, that isn't fast food style like another authentic Mexican food restaurant in CDA, please check this place out!! It deserves all the support and I'll be coming here again for the...
