Full Moon Diner & Saloon — Restaurant in Dalton Township

We loved this place under the old ownership. The slow service was forgivable with their bar $10 pizza special. However, we have been there twice under the new ownership, and we will never return. The first time, horrible food with even slower service, with no specials in place as a consolation for waiting. Today we tried again for breakfast. It was NOT busy - only small 5 tables in the bar area seated and a couple of friends eating at the bar. 2 parties had their food, the rest of us 3 tables all sat for an hour and 15 minutes with no updates other than a snide “not yet” when the bartender walked by our table. Drinks were left empty and the whole room was without food. We arrived at 11am, and husband walked to the bar at 12:15 and asked to pay for the 4 drinks (1 each) our family had, so that we could leave, as our son was going to be late for work. The bartender only said “Yeah, I know it’s bad”, then cashed him out and moved on to someone else at the bar. We will never return, and I will be posting this review everywhere. It may be a problem with staffing, but it has ALWAYS been run like this, and at least under the old ownership, management would apologize, explain, show concern, and comp a meal or drinks. Never ever...

I would not return there took forever to get our food the burrito's have a bit of spice to it and does not say that on there menu or I would have not ordered it she would not take it back she said I have to charge you for it most places would say I am sorry can I get you anything else she brought the menu back so I can pick something else and she never came back to take my order after everyone was done eating she comes over to ask how was the burritos and did not even acknowledge that I still didn't order so I handed her the menu and said thanks for the menu but I will not be ordering anything and she said are you sure well I sure wasn't going to order something and have my party that I was with sit there and wait as it takes forever to get your food. It's very very noisy there it's like the sound in there is bouncing...

I can't understand the 4 1/2 stars for this place. Food is good and cheap, but service sucks. We ordered smelt and wet burrito that was the special. We waited 45 minutes to get our food. SLOW SLOW SOOOOOO SLOW! Waitress was very nice and got to us quickly. But i wonder what the 2 cooks in kitchen are doing? They need a lot of improvements on service in the kitchen. We saw another couple wait almost an hour for one pizza. I wouldn't bring friends here because it would be embarrassing for the time we wait from order to table. I was watching thru the serving window to the kitchen and it looks like they mix up the newest orders with the oldest orders. They really need John Tapper from Bar Rescue to come in and get them organized. This place doesn't deserve 4 stars! Businesses need to work to earn...
