Walking into Shire Donuts on a chilly winter Saturday morning, the smell is better than anything I could write... I'm not usually a fan of cake donuts, but thought I'd give them a try when a friend told me they served them warm; I've only ever had them "Second hand, cold." I had a hard time deciding what to get, really it was only going to be my son (14 yrs) & myself eating them, how many did we need? A full dozen, $20 to be exact, fully worth the time spent chatting with another Mom in front of me in the donut making line. Where you can stand to observe the talented Donut Artists creating your specialty orders, or step back for the gawking adults to have more room for their jaw to be on the floor. It's a lovely place, the kids sat quietly, watching the Donut Artist spin her magic, we talked about Santa, and Holiday plans. After I left I came back w more cash for a better tip from my car, simply because the time flew by! The taste is out of this world, the presentation is stellar, the shop is so clean you could eat off the floor if you chose too. The Staff is absolutely a joy! Well done...

We've been addicted to Shire Donuts ever since they opened the Dalton location as it's walking distance from our house. They tend to be extremely busy but they know how to keep the line moving, while putting care into every single donut. The team is always very friendly and the donuts are incredible, well worth any wait!

Shire Donuts makes THE BEST Boston Creme donuts I have had since childhood and my best friend said the white creme filled donut tastes like a creme horn in a delicious donut! They also have "build your own donut" with all kinds of different toppings. They make their donuts fresh and you can tell with every bite!!
