So tonight we went to Bruno's, we stopped in a month ago to ask if they could accommodate a group of 20, they said sure. Our guy went in a couple of days before to confirm our time of arrival and they said no problem. We arrived at that time and waited for 10 minutes because the tables were not ready (5 tables). They gave us one server, they took our drink order and more than 20 minutes later we started getting our drinks. Some of us had to get our own waters off of the server tray because they left it on a table. They then took our order using a hand held toast POS, which means the orders would have been sent to the kitchen right after she went to the next table. The server came around to refill drinks once. The table I was at got our pizza LAST, which was 2 hours after we were seated! During that time many tables were sat on the patio and 5 in the area we were in, and countless phone orders were picked up. 3 of those tables we could see got their drinks and food an hour or more before we did. Those who ordered appetizers got their food first, pizzas were more than an hour after they were ordered. So how do we not get our food in the order it was placed? Many other tables got their food/pizza long before we did. Was it the server's fault? Was it the kitchen's fault? Or was it the manager's fault for now paying attention. How does a restaurant survive by not focusing on flipping tables? Why did we also have a 20% gratuity added...why didn't the manager come over and apologize and comp food that didn't come out in a timely manner. The owner of Bruno's, need to watch the video feed from 6:15 till 8:30 and look at how much food went out of the kitchen, while we didn't all get to eat together. And our table got what we ordered at about 8pm and our table ordered as the second table of 5 (they didn't push all the tables together, we sat at 5 tables close together) and we got our food last? How does that work? The server said 2 hour's later when asked that the "kitchen was slammed"... It seemed like a lot of people got their food long before we did. I really dislike writing this review, but people need to know, the owner needs to know! If this happened at the place I work at, someone would get retrained, customers would have been given a big discount for the food taking so long to get to the table, and the manager's feet would have been in serious trouble. But the manager was likely not there, we didn't see them at all. We only saw 5 servers, none helped the server who was taking care of our 5 tables. And that server was given one of those tables that got their food before us and left before us, while they arrived 30 minutes after us. Fix your problems, the pizza was great when it...
Read moreGiving it two stars for the sole purpose that I know businesses are having to adjust to COVID standards otherwise this place would have received one star from me. I was visiting Marblehead for a trip and wanted to get pizza. Seeing as this was the only option nearby, decided to give it a try. The first night, I tried to order a pizza for delivery two hours before they closed and the online ordering system wasn't accepting orders. Thought maybe the system was down so I gave them a call. No answer. Shrugged it off because I thought maybe the hours were shortened due to COVID. The next night, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and ordered delivery again. No such luck. This was at 5:30pm. (Their hours were until 9 mind you). I thought okay, maybe calling today would work. I tried calling three different times with no answer. Said forget it. Decided to go get something to eat somewhere else. As we were driving past Bruno's to find something else for dinner we noticed people walking out with Pizza. Thought we would stop in and place a carry out order. Before entering, we noticed that the signs on the door said Patio open until 9pm.. (it was now around 6:30pm and the whole entire patio and indoor seating were shut down). As we were inside placing our order, I noticed employees not having their masks on. I understand that these masks are bothersome and irritating to say the least, but when you're working with food and drink people are going to be consuming, I feel like it should be important. While sitting inside waiting for our pizza, I heard one of the employees tell a fellow customer that the establishment's patio was closed and that they turned their phones off due to the kitchen being backed up. Now, I understand having long wait times due to high demand, but closing the patio and indoor dining without some form of communication on the outside door seems like a basic task that was not done. And completely turning off phones to a business because of being busy? I have never heard such a thing. Seems extremely unprofessional. I have never written a review of a place before until now because I am so baffled at the lack of professionalism of this place. Pizza was subpar. Cheesebread was okay. I have family members visiting the area soon and told them that this place was not worth their time. I was extremely...
Read moreWhere to begin?! It took us 10 minutes to be seated, even though 6 different employees walked by us. Our waitress was fairly quick with bringing our drinks. When ordering I asked if they had a child’s menu, she stated yes but they were out of the actual menus , so I asked if she could just tell me what was on it, but the only thing she could remember was spaghetti and Alfredo. 15 minutes after ordering a gentleman from the kitchen came out to tell my daughter they were out of boneless wings, so she changed her order, but we overheard our waitress still taking orders for the wings at the table next to us. We leaned over and let her know they were out. 10 minutes later she stopped back to ask if our daughter had ordered something instead of the wings (not much communication between kitchen and wait staff). She brought our sons pizza after about a 35 minute wait, the rest of our food finally arrived about 15 minutes later after I flagged her down to ask about it and after I had swiped silverware for us from the other table - my sons had already gobies his dinner by the time ours arrived. The food wasn’t bad, which is the only reason I even gave 2 stars. Several other issues (my 16 year Old was served the child’s size Alfredo, my son was given my glass after refills were brought, that we had to request).
All in all I would advise the waitress with the blue hair (she didn’t have a name tag) to rethink her choice of careers. She was nice, but definitely not passing along a good impression for your restaurant. No one ever came back to take our credit card so my son walked it up to the front counter and the young man seemed irritated and didn’t know how to ring it up! we won’t...
