This is the worst place to visit…..TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE….. Years past under the previous ownership, it was a much better managed restaurant with decent food. NOW, utter disappointment: after our server brought beverages, one member in our group sat the drink on the picnic table and it literally slid off and spilled on two people and all over the bench seat due to the slight angle of the table top in addition to a non skid slippery table surface. We brought the attention to the waiter and asked for a replacement and asked if we would be charged for it? He told us he would ask the manager who actually turned out to be the owner that instructed the server to charge us for the replacement, Grrrrrrr. The walleye bites were horrible, it tasted like a breaded ball not like a walleye bite and the thick breading had a overwhelming bitter taste similar to corn starch. It is unfortunate that the newer ownership is more interested in total revenue for the day versus quality products and customer satisfaction. Needless to say, we’ll never return again.

It was good. I can't say that I would race to go here again, but I can't complain too much. The view is beautiful from the top floor. The tables are ridiculously high up. My husband is 6' and I and 5'8" and we had a hard time getting onto the benches and then have no where for our feet. We had to lift our kids up to get onto it. Kid meals/drinks are pricey for kids meals. They have a nice selection of sliders, but I would love if they did what a restaurant out by us does, and let you select a combination of sliders instead of having to get all three the same. Service was friendly. The kid's Mac and cheese was crunchy and stuck together, so my daughter didn't want it. They did take that off the bill.

Great place to hit after a head boat trip on our great Mother Erie, for that Erie gold we call... Walleye. It was an early trip. Starting at 3:30 in the morning with my best bud Jack. We were on the trail to hit up the walleye boom that had been on fire at the time. This establishment was within a hop and a skip from Tibbles Marina which we had booked our trip the night before. It was a great trip on the lake. We were back on land around 3pm, and hungry. We ended up at Port Clinton to have our catch cut to perfection, giving us perfect fillets to take home to our wives. We decided to get a bite to eat and Crabby Joe's was it. Walked in after the lunch rush. It was calm and serene. Right on the lake. If I wanted to, I could have casted for smallmouth bass right from our table. We were both tired enjoyed a few beers on the boat. We were triumphant, yet tired and a bit delirious from the sun and lack of sleep. The staff was there to make us feel at home. We couldn't figure out what we wanted. So they gave us suggestions and they were dead on. The ribs were excellent. And the admirals platter by far the best. Decently priced the platter comes with their best seafood. Snow crab, King crab, Fresh Maine Lobster tail, along with scallops and fresh mussels not to mention a generous helping of potatoes and sweet corn on the cob. This was the closest I have gotten to the sweet taste of crab meat that I had down in South Carolina on vacation with my family. If your in the area, I highly recommend stopping here for a bite to eat. They have an expansive menu, not too big, not to small just right. Not to mention if you like some good classic rock. This is where...

Our party of 2 entered through what we thought was the front door or main entrance, it led to the bar slightly confusing bc the hostess stand is on the opposite side in the dining area… waited at the hostess stand for about 5 minutes before being greeted even though a server walked past us twice to clean her table … eventually 2 ppl came asked if we wanted to sit on the patio or inside then said it was no guarantee we would stay dry on the patio since it was raining outside, it was apparently raining inside as well we were sat at a table next to a bucket catching rain water leaking from the ceiling the floor was wet but the wet floor sign was in the puddle so I guess that made it ok … our server Baleigh was nice & provided good service best part of the experience ! We ordered 2 cocktails they were just average , 2 appetizers the walleye bites were just ok & the garlic crab fries were basic frozen fries with Crumbled crab cake on top & drizzle of ranch nothing like the menu description do not recommend. We ordered 2 of the seafood “steamers” in a liquid gold sauce… the sauce was horrible it was greasy chicken stock & what seemed like Italian blend seasoning . Potatoes were under cooked , it’s hard to eat out of a hot bucket with hot broth splashing everywhere. We did not like the liquid gold sauce at all , we asked Baleigh to drain the sauce off & bring to go boxes for the seafood. Another woman came to the table who ask a what was wrong i expressed to her I hated the sauce but we were fine , she then stated to me people ask to buy the sauce …. %20 was taken off of our bill & we left … 0/10 do not recommend! Thanks again Baleigh for...

We stopped here for dinner after a day at the African Safari Wildlife Park. We got there around 5:30 and it wasn't very busy and didn't get busy until we were ready to pay for our food. The food took around 45 minutes to arrive and for the price it was not worth it at all. The mayo on the philly cheese steak had a strange flavor and may have actually been tartar sauce. The walleye which was raved about by customers and our server was average at best and was comparable to regular cod but for a higher price. The fries were good as was the side salad. The snow crab legs were extremely difficult to crack open unlike anything we've experienced before. When we were finished we waited 30 minutes just to receive our bill and it took another 30 minutes for our server to come back to take the bill. In total we spent over two hours there for mediocre food at a premium price.

In addition to these issues not all the employees were wearing masks, and there was even a sign on the door saying employees are no longer required to wear masks, even though we are in the middle of a pandemic that is getting much worse. They also did not seem to wipe down and sanitize their tables well at all, barely wiping them down between customers. The inside tables also we're not spaced out to promote social distancing and hardly any of the customers wore masks even to walk into the restaurant. If we come back to Port Clinton we will not be making a stop back here and recommend others to find a different establishment to support with better food...
