Food price / quality rating (value) 8. The atmosphere is old fashioned Italian Cafe. The menu is pretty typical for a small Italian restaurant. Fresh bread was served. We split the Clams Oreganato which were very good. I had the Chicken Francese entree, and enjoyed it. The wife got salmon Piccata, a very large portion of salmon filet and a generous portion of spinach. They have a limited offering of bottled beer and wine. The service was okay. This place is probably a good date venue, old time Italian music and cozy surroundings.

The ambience of the restaurant was really nice and very appropriately lit that made it very cozy. Since we were vegetarians, we didn't have a whole lot to choose from but our waitress was kind enough to customize something for us and get us our dinner. The dessert (tiramisu) was cool.

Hidden gem for sure in this quiet lil mom n pop that doesnt get nearly the amount of traffic it should. They sling a mean pie that comes sopped in their famous red sauce and u got a slice that never fails to impress. Thanx for doin wut u do consistently, we appreciate it!

I booked my son's first Communion party here at Taormina's about a month ago. I just called the owner to discuss the last minute minor details with him regarding the menu and he turns around and tells me he has to charge me triple than what we discussed because he had another party who has 40 people, just call to book with him that he would prefer to do because he would get more money. He knows I am a single mother and I can't afford this change. I had to cancel with him and now have to start all over. I have to call all my guests since I already sent out the invitations and try to find another restaurant to have his First Communion. He is a horrible business man and doesn't keep his word when making parties and price details. I will never go back and never recommend him. I am so upset as its last minute and many restaurants are already booked. Do not go to him to book anything. He won't keep his word and will change everything on you last minute just to...

Taormina has been our default restaurant since we moved to west Danbury 26 years ago. It never fails to please, the staff is friendly and efficient, and the prices are competitive. We especially like the filet of sole (one of the best in town), the eggplant rollatini (not always on the menu, but ask and they'll make it), and the fresh-mushroom and -tomato pizza. We're moving to the South and will surely miss the food, the people, and the ambiance. If you still live nearby or just happen to be in the area, by all means, go!

P.S. We revisited our old haunt in September 2024 and found it just as delightful as ever -- and even more competitively priced. Taormina is truly one of the Danbury area's...
