Was craving ice cream on the way to Boston & was able to get my fix before it closed. Just for kicks, sampled the grape nut which was interesting. It tasted like soggy grape nuts so at least you don't chip a tooth; you either love it or hate it. I decided to stick to my faves, chocolate peanut butter & pistachio. The pistachio flavoring was off, a bit too pistachio-y, if that's even possible. But the chocolate peanut butter hit the spot. Hubby got the milk & cookies & that was yummy too. Business was steady with a lot of local kids, even on a cold weeknight.

This place consistently makes the best ice cream frappes/milkshakes on the planet. Not too thick and not too watery. The perfect amount of smoothness and flavor. They have the golden ratio and seem to have shared it with every employee. Bravo. I'm sure it's also attributed to their homemade flavors, which they have a wide variety of, along with rotating seasonal ones. Top notch quality. Also, they have salted flavors which are my personal fave. Bonus points and bravo again with a round of applause and an Amen.

Watermelon sherbet, absolutely delicious. So light and sweet and sour and tangy. Additional request of a single sour gummy worm, I haven't had one in a while. 💚 I got the baby scoop for $4.95, And when they call this a baby scoop, they obviously mean the size of a baby's head.

COVID UPDATE: Still 5 stars, and still a following because it's amazing (love the cake batter even if it should be called birthday cake since there's icing mixed in); but their social distancing line is obnoxiously nonsensical - don't go if you feel like that will annoy you.

The line starts behind the building but there is inadequate signage, and as a substitute they have teenage girls who tell people, but managed to miss the family who then awkwardly walked past me, having to squeeze close due to ropes to shape the line. There are also ropes in the area near the entrance, but not blocking people from walking the way anyone wants to once they see the line, around the front garden area.

Logically, the line should start in front, so people can see the board before they wait, because people take FOREVER to order when they can't view the menu.

...

This place has seriously amazing ice cream, so much that it can be cold, rainy or otherwise unusual ice cream weather and not only do we still get ice cream but there is still a following! That's when you...

This region has a good number of store-made ice-cream shops so there's plenty of competition for better-than-grocery-store ice cream. In that field, Cherry Farm Creamery stands out for their high-quality flavorful product, generous portions, & reasonable prices.

Staff are pleasant & quick and the only thing I've ever seen them get wrong is sometimes when I ask for a scoop of A under a scoop of B (the dishing order) it comes back A over B - not an issue of great concern. To be honest, it may be my fault (they may have reason to prefer the expression in over order), it's only happened twice in probably 100 orders over the years, and when you get down to it, it's terrific ice cream: sequence can't be that important.

Unlike many similar operations, Cherry Hill is open all year round. I'm not sure of their winter-time hours but their recent posted closing is 9pm. Worth going out of your way for and, from what I've seen in the parking lot, many...

Among the best ice cream you are likely to find not just on the north shore, or even the commonwealth, but in all of New England. Their regular selection of ice cream flavors is pretty vast (I'm partial to cake batter myself) but the special flavors that they rotate are often really good. Typically they are, in some form, seasonal (as this place is open year round). Of particular note are the autumn seasonal flavors which are unbelievable. The girls who work there are always upbeat and the very definition of polite young women. This place is popular but whatever lines there are always move very quickly and crowd always seem to be good folks. Their products are fairly price. They don't charge exorbident sums, as some quality craft ice cream places do. This is my favorite dessert spot. Do yourself a favor and...
