Harry's Place — Restaurant in Darlington Township

Group of 10 arrived before 5. Sorry to report but service was not good from the start. No silverware. Not enough menus. Half the table ordered the fish platter which is usually excellent. This time the fish was cold. Literally the skin and batter was coming apart from the fish. We were able to pull skin off the meat. Never had this happen ever. Been coming here for decades. The fries were cold. Soup and chili lukewarm. Shrimp was on the other hand was hot. Very disappointed. It is as if half the food sat waiting for the other half to be prepared. There were other waitresses standing around so we could not understand what happened. And, on a side note, the tables were very sticky as were the salt and pepper shakers and menus for that matter. Plus, I might suggest not placing a big table under the one speaker on ceiling. Everytime someone spoke thru loud speaker we all jumped at the table. Hope things get sorted out. It would be a shame for such a famous beloved...

Well not sure of the circumstances of employees here. But when we first got here on a Friday, and I know they are busy, not the issue. Well nobody greeted us or the other people in line waiting.I mean people coming in after us are like do you just sit down or what? Eventually someone who was a waitress said how many we said 5 she said oh you will have to wait which is fine, she said as soon as you see a table empty go sit down? Well we got a booth and waited for someone to clean it, again waitress staff no people busing tables. Waited for a menu. Then when our food got there I just wasn't into the fried fish, the "skin" on the bottom really did it for me, just seemed weird? Our waitress was nice, can't remember her name, some arm tattoos and...

We ordered Fish dinners with Coleslaw and French fries for Fish Friday.......let's just say that it was completely inedible......The fish was like rubber.....we could tell that it was days old and that they had reheated it. It smelled so bad like rotten fish. The French fries were literally soggy and you could tell they were also reheated in a microwave. We literally got 2TBSP of nasty, musty, moldy smelling Coleslaw......It was so bad that even our dog refused to eat it. For over 30$ for 2 nasty fish dinners that we couldn't eat. I wouldn't reccomend this place to our worst enemy. What ever happened to this place? They definitely do not care about quality and food safety. It was so...
