The warning signs that Fat Bully's by the Lake has at the entrance--that they will use shock collars on unruly guests should tell you what you are in for--as that kind of snark usually means great service and great food. Combine that with a lake, a gravel parking lot, and bikers, and well it has all the making of a great roadside burger joint, or a scene from the latest Netflix series, or both. I didn't have the Death by Meat, because frankly, a meat coma on the drive home probably isn't safe. I had the next best thing, the Baffle Burger...a huge, hand formed meat patty smothered in grilled onions, drenched in just spicy enough queso, all lovingly piled between two grilled cheese sandwiches. It didn't disappoint. $12 burgers better be good, and this one definitely is. Enough for two folks, and a very generous serving of crisp, hot fries (onions rings are an option). They serve it on a beer tray, and it fills the tray...always a good sign that you ain't leaving hungry. So the burger was delicious, but what about the banana pudding? It's a big ol helping of great banana pudding, the kind your mom would make if it was pot luck Sunday at church...light pudding, vanilla wafers, and crusted in caramel and topped with whip cream. Watch out, Ethel might be missing her recipe... They also have a nice bar, and a generous adult beverage selection, for those who like a drink with their burger. Or if you just want to relax on the shaded patio after a hard day at the lake, it's the perfect place. Speaking of drinks, they don't skimp on the size, and while it was somewhat busy, the server always managed to refill my drink just as I needed it. The service was great, and yeah, some of that snark was obviously present, but it made for a great dining experience... And if burgers aren't your thing, they have an entire side of the menu of non burger options, from salads to chicken. Sorry, no tofu. So if you are looking for a neat little road trip, or will take a drive for a great burger like we will, be sure and head down to Sulphur and visit Fat Bully's. Hop in the hot rod and bring a few of your fan club with you, and everyone can have a great time enjoying the food and entertainment.

I consider myself a burger fanatic and these were some really good burgers! I got the F2 fat bully burger with fries and my brother got the F14 Dyna Ryder with onion rings. Big fan of the crispiness of the fries and the onion rings were a great balance of crispy and soft. Is there a word for that? If not, they created it. 1/2lb patties were seasoned very well you can tell a good burger when you don't get cheese on it. Places like to hide subpar burgers with ole reliable cheese. Not this place. Didn't get any cocktails but had a wide selection of specialty drinks. The lake water sounded really good. Similar ingredients to an AMF or LA water. Service was great, staff friendly, clearly popular we got there before the rush, but plenty of seating outside, with big fans. It was nice and cool inside which is saying something for June in Oklahoma in a popular restaurant.

Kind of tucked away in rural Oklahoma near the Chickasaw National Recreation Area and many other attractions. The burgers here are quite good as the ingredients are high quality and did I mention that it is huge!? Whatever they did, it definitely hit the spot. The establishment is a little shack-like building, but honestly, that's kind of the charm. I certainly wasn't expecting fine dining. Although we couldn't dine in because we had an infant that wasn't having any of it so I can't give a fair review on that aspect, but the outdoor seating looked inviting. The staff were nice and answered my questions on the food as I wanted to know which item on the menu they were known for. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Traveling through the area on a beautiful day, specifically seeking outdoor dining we found this place on Google. But when we went there they tried to seat us inside because, they said, it wouldn't be fair to the waitresses if we were seated outdoors. I VERY POLITELY explained that we were there specifically for the outdoor dining & asked if we could sit on the back patio. The guy agreed & I thanked him. As he seated us I thanked him again for accommodating us. Then a noticeably angry waitress came & asked us for our drink order but before we could give it, the owner (whom I can only assume is the Fat Bully this establishment is named for) stormed up to our table & very rudely griped us out for sitting outside because, as she said, that was "...not fair to her waitresses since there were only 3 of you!!!" So I stood up and said that we would just leave & she barked angrily, "That sounds like a plan!!!" If outdoor dining is what you are expecting by going to this place...better not count on it. Paying customers do not matter. Lets see how this place does when they, not the public, are responsible for paying their staff. Maybe after minimum wage goes up the customers will matter...

The service was terrible. The employees were making rude and snarky comments as well as rude looks and facial expressions. We tried to put two tables together for our big party and they started making rude facial expressions. We asked if there was any way we could point one of the fans to us since we were sitting outside. The fan was not being used for other people. It was just rotating and we asked to have it be pointed to us for more cool air. One of the employees said yes she could, but then pointed it towards herself. One of the members in our party tried to go move it towards us and the employee said we were trying to break it, which was not what we were doing and that was not our intention. They were impatient while taking our order. When we asked questions about the menu they would give short responses. The employee were inside talking about us and saying we were moving the table without asking but we had a big party and they didn’t move the table for us. We had already ordered our drinks so we decided to just go inside and pay for our drink and leave. They were extremely rude, impolite, and impatient. I would not recommend this place because of the service...
