Ive been eating at this location off and on for 40 years. It looks the same as it did 40 years ago. Needs updated severely!
Food and service are hit and miss but yesterday it was very bad. I ordered a liver dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans. And a large ice water. They charge 50 cents for the ice water which is fine. But they only give me a medium when I paid for a large. I don’t want it free, I drink water not pop but if I pay for a large I want a large. I didn’t say nothing.
Then get to my destination to eat and and discover that I only got half liver and half something else that I didn’t even know what it was. Couldn’t eat it. I would have went back my son is in children’s hospital and I didn’t want to leave him again.
I’m very disappointed in the food I received and the incompetence of the employees who served it. It’s not that hard to put liver mashed potatoes and green pecans in a container with a large ice water and hand it out. It’s just plain incompetence!
Just to be clear my receipt said large water so I know it wasn’t a mistake on my part.
And what they don’t tell you is that they charge a service charge if you use a card, which is illegal without telling people! I was quoted one price at the speaker and then when I went to the window and paid with cash, I was given another price. I thought they were cheating themselves and I asked about it and I was told that service charge if I pay cash I get a discount. That’s highly dishonest and illegal to charge someone to service charge without telling them!
I think my days at least especially this location are over.

Read moreWhen I completed my order at the speaker. I pull up to window. When the cashier CHUCK D. (That’s the name on receipt) flung open the window. I say hello and hand her my debit card. I am not greeted back at all and this cashier is chewing and smacking on the gum in her mouth hard. She rolls her eyes and literally snatches my card out my hand and the window slams. She opens the window back a minute later hands me my card with the receipt balled up with it and flings my bag in my hand. Hands me my drink next. I see it has ice. I patiently say my drink was not suppose to have ice, I made that request back at the speaker when I placed my order! Grabs my cup from me. About 30 seconds later opens windows to hand over my drink. Again not one single word leaves her mouth but she is smacking on her gum loudly. Then proceeds to slam the window back. My drink was leaking on the side. I was on a 30 minute lunch break and had no time to come inside, because how I was treated was very disrespectful and distasteful. This needed to be addressed. When I got back to work I ended up throwing the food and drink away. I did not trust consuming the food anymore. I am the nicest person ever and for the life of me could not understand why I received the customer service I did. Angry is not the word. Tonight we went to the Troy and Stanley location and while the staff was super friendly and even gave us a free lemonade, the food was the worst we’ve ever had from that location. Our biscuits were black on top and dried out, and our fried pickle strips were mostly tiny slivers, and there were several very small dried out chicken strips in our 10 piece meal. As we were leaving and we thanked the woman at the window for the lemonade, she asked us to give the store a 5 star review on Google and I totally planned to because we usually get decent food and service there, but for $30 I feel like we wasted our money tonight.
