After hearing the rather shocking news of Jimmy Buffett’s unexpected death yesterday, Sept 2nd, and being a big fan of his from the ‘70’s when I first came to Florida, I felt the need to acknowledge his passing in some way. A friend lives in the Margaritaville community, so we met up there for a drink at the Latitude Bar & Chill, and ended up having dinner. (Note: You cannot get access to this restaurant/bar or the community, unless you know someone who lives there. When we arrived I didn’t know my friend’s address as we were meeting at the bar, so security did call him to verify we were legit.) Was my first time there, and I was very impressed. The place is new, spotlessly clean, and the live music from the adjacent Latitude stage floated across the Town Square. Our server was great, the food and drinks superb, (pina colada, pigs in a blanket, pulled pork & mango burger, all totally awesome!), the prices very reasonable (see menu photo), and we got to reminisce about our one and only Jimmy B. If you have a friend who lives in the Margaritaville community, do yourself a favor and invite yourself and your friend for dinner at the Latitude Bar & Chill one nice evening. It’s a wonderful place to hang out and enjoy life, and, if you feel the urge, pay one’s respects to the late great, Jimmy B. Rest in Peace Jimmy, it wasn’t planned to be this way, you were supposed to outlive us...

Went there for the ham Easter Dinner. Sat at the bar. Within 90 seconds of ordering my food, it showed up. And it looked like it was sitting on the plate for 3 hrs just waiting to be warmed up for 30 sec in a microwave. And the 30 sec wasn’t enough to warm it. Day old looking soggy green beans, golf ball sized serving of mashed potatoes and 3 small slices of ham. Oh… and a very dry roll with no butter in sight!! Very disappointing. After telling the servers I was ready to cash out, still took another 20 minutes as they socialized with others at the bar. It’s normally a decent place to grab a bite but not on this day. Tip: don’t ever get the holiday special. It probably was sitting for hours before being served… barely warm. UPDATE: Received a great response from mgt about my review. They were genuinely concerned and are committed to improving and solving future quality issues. I’m sure my next visit will be one I enjoy as I have in the past...

My father recently moved into the community there and since I was close by I visited the new home and we went to this restaurant in the community center. The hostess Ellen was polite and on point with the wartime. We were there on. Friday at 530 on the waitlist for 603 for a table of two; however we did have to check ourselves in because she accidentally crossed us off as the wrong party seated, but she made up for it making us the next table seated. Service was good, however they missed my appetizer order, which I didn't mind because the pulled pork sandwich was delicious. The atmosphere was absolutely incredible. There was a live band until the weather got nasty and the people there as friendly as can be. I highly recommend this place if you're visiting friends or...

Definitely a good spot to have lunch. Unfortunately you have to be a resident or know someone that lives within the community to dine here. On an important note..the restaurant is NOT open to the public!! On a good note you have the option to eat inside or outside under the covered patio. I admired everything. From the decor, live solo guitarist, and overlooking the resort style pool. Due to the restaurant's location, and distance from the ocean its warmer. And due to the fact that is inland, there is no ocean breeze. I'm not saying that reason shouldn't excuse customers and residents from not eating at the restaurant, it's something to keep in mind. Especially in the summer time.

Ordered this for lunch. Was suppose to be Brussels sprouts appetizer with sauce. Served them to me burnt, mentioned it to food runner, he said he would notify kitchen. Nothing! No body came to fix the burnt food!
