Chatterhouse — Restaurant in De Pere

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!!!! Go to Caliente’s or Eat30!

This was my first experience going to this restaurant/bar. It was my bf and I, so only 2 people ordering on a Tuesday night. They were steady that night & not busy.

When we walked in a server came right to us and took our drink orders. Then 20 mins passed, the table next to us came in at the same time & got served their drinks and their food. We had not been asked to order our food yet. The table next to us that was served told the server “you should probably serve them” & she said okay & continued to go bartend. We noticed a group of 3 people came in 20 mins after us and they also were served their drinks and food right away.

30 mins go by and we wave our server down and she puts up her hand saying “one minute”. Then a guy comes and takes our order. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger with jalapeños on the side. The server kept saying okay so the jalapeño burger. & i had to repeat my simple order 3 times to him. Remind you this is on a Tuesday & they weren’t busy. Well 45 mins later we ate our appetizer and then waited some more for our burgers. We had such bad service we finally decided to walk out. We wasted our Tuesday night after work just wanting a good meal.

We then went to Eat30 down the street and had our food in front of us within 15 minutes. Otherwise Caliente’s across the street is also good too!

Ordered food online through the eat streets service they provide. Order accepted went to go pick it up 45 min time. Got there to a closed, locked, business. Website said open, order was accepted, credit card was charged. Hmmm so then I call and a girl answers the phone I tell her what happened she says call eat streets. Ummm what no I said you were open per your site… you were accepting eat street orders and if you weren’t open that’s on you. You call eat streets. I said you took my money not eat streets She says hold on. Then a guy gets on phone says I don’t deal with eat streets. I said you must you utilize the companies services and clearly this was a inconvenience for your paying customers since somebody didn’t put not accepting orders or that you were even closed. I asked if they stop accepting orders when kitchen is closed he said yeah but I don’t deal with this stuff bye. So then I call eat streets a company which isn’t the easiest to contact lots of emails etc. Moral of story a simple hey we ran your order when we opened a day later and took your money come grab a gift card or we will make you your food would have been an option. I would of let them keep the 5$ tip and not given a review. What a joke check this place off our list. Thumbs down thumbs up to Eat street...

The bar itself is beautiful and the service is good if you get the right person. However, the food and the complex mixed drinks seem to be a challenge. In this particular instance, I ordered the steak 614. When I got my sandwich it wasn't rare, it was not cooked at all as in raw. I returned it (and just chose to not have it remade as they seemed overwhelmed) and there was an anger with me. Shortly after the bite I swallowed came back on me. Mistakes happen but the way it was handled along with the wrong drink order made this experience really unfortunate. Additionally, they termed us by our physical description on our tabs. One of my friends was named Lonely Girl on her tab. That is particularly unnecessary. I previously bragged how much I liked Chatterhouse so it was egg on my face.
