Taqueria El Paisano — Restaurant in De Queen

This was a pleasant surprise growing out of reading other reviews. Unless you're familiar with Mexican foods (I'm not talking Taco Bell) looking at the menu on the side of the truck might leave you feeling clueless. You'll likely have no idea what to order. Don't stress. The sweet folks working inside the food truck will walk you through it. "You might want to start with the burrito. It's got rice, avocado, beans, sauce, and your choice of meat." Her recommended beef/chicken burrito was outstanding and huge. I, my wife, and our English Cream Golden enjoyed our meal on this sunny day at a nearby picnic table. We couldn't eat it all. Strangely though, it didn't feel heavy. The tortilla wrapping and the contents tasted light and delicious. We'd go back again in a heartbeat.

Update: It's a week later, we're 3 hours away, and I can't get that dang burrito out of my mind.

Update: March 2022. We're going to the Broken Bow region again soon. This place, this little food truck, is STILL on my mind and is a destination for the upcoming trip. I looked at my review from last year and found myself wondering why I gave it four stars? If it's a destination and not just a stop in passing, isn't it worth five stars? If I still think of this burrito a year later as one of the best I've ever had, it must be a five star location. So, I'm changing my rating. You really should try this lovely food experience.

This is my FAVORITE authentic Mexican food truck! I stop here quite often for lunch on my route through Southwest AR. My favorite meal is the steak tacos with cilantro and onion with a large HOMEMADE horchata. Y'all, their horchatas are SOO DELICIOUS. I could literally drink my body weight in horchata. Everything is homemade down to the drinks! 10/10 I would recommend! If you haven't eaten here yet, you need to put it on your list of places to try. I don't even live in De Queen, I'm from Little Rock, and this place is awesome!!...

Have ordered through door dash many times now but here lately when we've ordered we've either not gotten what was ordered at all or it wasn't what we ordered at all. Ordered 3 steak nachos and only got one with two chicken tacos in place of the other nachos. Ordered two steak nachos and got two steak burritos. Ordered just steak nachos and got a steak burrito. It seems as if the one who got our orders wrong either didn't take the time to read it or just didn't care. Will no longer be ordering...
