NEGATIVE STARS!! Tried this place out when looking for a house in Decatur with my family and realtor. The fajita nachos were dry and not much meat. We all weren’t very pleased. We bought a house in Decatur months later and I had been craving for good Tex Mex food. Decided to go again with a family member. We Decided to give it another try because it may have been just the day we went. I ordered the Carne Asada plate because I figured I’d get a big flavorful piece of meat. I took one bite and it had no flavor or zero marinade. Carne Asade is Marinated Beef served hot. If my expectations were wrong let’s just say it tasted like a flat thin piece of dry hamburger burnt meat. So I felt obligated to let the manager know.. he came to our table and told me that it wasn’t marinated beef/steak. I told him it was ok and that I’d just like to have something good. His response was that he would still have to charge me for what I ordered and I said that was fine. FYI that isn’t how most restaurants handle problems but I wasn’t looking for a free hand out so it was just his response on how fast he said it. I asked for him to come back and in the mean time on waiting for him to come back and not worry about getting me something else, my family member discovered a long black hair in the tortillas after eating one that was on top. As the manager comes back I told him that there was a black hair in our tortillas. So we open it for him and this is his reaction.. he grabs the black hair out at the table and dangles it as he inspects it and says “I don’t have anyone working with long hair today” as he said that I pointed out a cook that had long black hair in a pony tail. He had another rude quick rebuttal. I was so stunned on what was happening and just wanted to pay and leave. I will say that the restaurant is nice inside and that is why I wanted to try it again. The salsa was good both times. The queso was good and the waiter was very nice. The food and management is horrible!!! If people think this place is good I would say try another place and you will know the difference. Anamias or 7 salsas or mi cocinas. This place is horrible. The only time I could possibly go back would be to try their margaritas but I will set the bar low. Why would the manager say the things he did and take it so personal. Surely the owners wouldn’t act like this. If this was one of the owners I would STAY AWAY from this place. I can’t urge how horrible this situation was handled and how bad the food was both times!!! This place needs a...
Read moreI called in a group order and was told that it'll be ready for pick up at a certain time. When I arrived I was told that the food was not ready. The staff called up an assistant manager. The manager informed me that he wasn't going to begin to prepare the order until I came in to pay for it. This was after I tried to pay over the phone. I asked to pay in person, but the assistant manager continued his rant. Finally, after about 2 minutes into his rant the assistant manager gave me an amount and ask for the payment. The amount in person was different than the one quoted via phone. Once I notified the assistant manager of the discrepancy he went on another rant, declaring that he don't need my buisness that my $400+ is nothing to them, and if I don't want to pay the new amount I can just leave. I was floored. However, I felt compelled to get the food, as I was ordering for my staff who wanted to eat from this restaurant. I agreed to the additional cost and paid. After this I was told that I'd have to wait 30 to 45 minutes for the order to get prepared. (This was a great setback as several of my staff members didn't get to eat due to the restaurants lack of timing.) Finally, when the time was close to collect the food, I foolishly asked for plates, and plastic ware. You guessed it, the assistant manager denied the request and informed m that I would have to pay for each set that I want, proclaiming that the restaurant has to pay for said items why should we get them for free? Once I finally got the food to my staff, some of it was cold, the rice was hard, the beans had wasted out. I DO NOT AND WILL NOT SUPPORT...
Read moreYall will never get mine or my parents business ever again...who have been regulars (literally averaging 1.5 visits a WEEK) for the past 15+ years! My parents have literally spent thousands and thousands of dollars at your restaurant! So one day my parents are done eating and was paying for their meal and their server who they have loved for years was a little busy at the table next to them, so my father put the cash on the table with tip included and looked over at their server to make sure he acknowledged the money on the table which he did (but didn't grab the money because he was busy) and they left. Within a week or so my mother was with her friend or friends and walked in to be seated and once they were, one of the staff walked up to my mom in front of her friends and told her that their previous visit my father and her shorted the bill by $10. Their normal server walked up and told the staff member DO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN REGULARS FOR YEARS AND HE STATED THAT HE GOT BUSY THAT DAY AND ANOTHER STAFF MEMBER PICKED UP THE CASH THAT MY PARENTS LEFT ON THE TABLE. Instead that staff member told my mom pay the $10 dollars and out of embarrassment she did because she was just trying to have a meal with friends. FROM NOW ON I WILL POST THIS REVIEW UNTIL THE OWNERS REACH OUT TO ME AND...
