Everyone's East End Grill — Restaurant in Decatur

Well, I was hoping for a wonderful Father's Day for my childrens father, not even close for breakfast. We got there at 8:00am, they WERE NOT busy yet. Someone other than our "waitress" got our drinks, with a large adult glass for our 3 year old daughter. While 2 of the waitresses hugged each other and had social hour, we waited for 10 minutes to have our "waitress" come over. We finally ordered, and I asked for a cup with a lid for our 3yr olds applejuice. Another 10 mns go by, so I got up(mind you I'm huge and 7months pregnant) and got the cup with a lid MYSELF! When she fianally brings the food, she says oh, you got the togo cup. I had ordered "eggs benedict". It was the worst hollandaise sauce I've ever tasted, someone got happy with the pepper, I took two bites, and had to wait another 10mns for her to come ask how everything was. While she looked at me totally confused when I said, take it offf my bill please. Oh, did I mention, we both saw her sitting with another table SITTING 3 different times, when we had empty plates and empty drinks??!!??!! I was so mad I could have spit fire. I have never in my life not tipped someone, because I am a server, but there was a first for me!! She could have had the opportunity to have a more than 20% tip, not this time. I was genuinely embarrassed tonight. I’ve been telling my family how great this restaurant is, so we were all looking forward to dinner. We arrived Saturday evening at 6 PM with a group of 4 adults and 6 children. Unfortunately, the manager didn’t seem pleased to see us. She tried to turn us away, claiming they were too busy—even though half the restaurant was empty.

She also warned us the food would take a long time—and she made sure of it. Four tables that arrived after us were served their meals before we even got our chicken fingers and fries. It felt intentional, as if the manager was trying to make an example out of us.

To be fair, our waitress was kind, and the food was good. But the experience with the manager left a really negative impression. I felt awful, especially with my family visiting from out of town. What should have been a great evening turned into an uncomfortable and...

I was there from 9:35 AM to 10:23. It took 10 mins to ever even get a server to the table. My husband and I order food and I also got coffee. The coffee was gross, it taste like water after you put any creamer in it. The server wasnt around the entire time after we got our drinks, so I couldn't request a different drink. We only ordered simple things like bacon, eggs, pancakes. Never saw the server after the drinks and got fed up and just decided to pay and leave. It took a good 5 minutes for anyone to even show up to check me out, had to complain to get somoene to come up. I'll never eat there again even though their Sunday brunch was okay the one time I went. But even then it was so crowded...
