My friend and I took a drive out to Suncrest to try out 291 Brewhouse. She wanted to try their strawberry salad and I thought it was a place to try new beers brewed onsite. One came to fruition. We went on a Tuesday and unbeknownst to us, they do a bingo game. We might actually venture back to give it a try. Because of the crowd inside, we gladly found our way to their patio. It was nice, enclosed with several tables and even fire tables that would be beneficial on a colder night. It wasn’t cold when we were there, so they just added some ambience. I had decided to try a beer, but ended up with a Space Dust (IPA). That was my disappointment for the evening. Not a lot of IPA choices. Didn’t ask about the other (non-IPA) draft beers. They do not brew any beer. We both got salads and both were great. My friend went with their Strawberry Spinach Chicken Salad. The raspberry vinaigrette was REALLY sweet. After a few tries to get the servers attention she got a side of ranch. The ranch cut the sweetness of the raspberry vinaigrette and she said it was an amazing combination. I went with their Ahi Poke salad and it was great! The dressing was a little too sweet for me. It had great flavor though. But, I didn’t even need dressing. My salad was very tasty. I haven’t been out that way in 40(ish) years, but it was as beautiful as I remember. Back in the day, my Grandparents had lake property in Tum Tum, and just driving to Suncrest brought back some great memories.

I wanted to like this place really bad. 291 is an adorable little roadside stop that combines classic small town America with some modern touches. The menue is pretty much American bar food, and they have domestic and local beers on tap. I got a Coldsmoke and a 291 burger for lunch. On Mondays, you get a free beer when you buy a burger. We ordered regular fries, but they came back and told us they were out, so we went with sweet potato fries but still got the 2$ upcharge. It's a little thing, but in this economy, upcharging me the 2$ when I wanted regular instead of comping that is a little annoying but not the end of the world. The fries were great, so that's a plus. The burger, on the other hand, was terrible. The bun and veggies were great - nice and fresh, well prepared and all. The burger patty was very overcooked and tasted like a gas station cheeseburger patty tbh. Idk where they get their patties, but they're baaaad. At least the one I had. The vibe of the whole place is really cute - lots of plants and great Americana diner decor. I will say that the outside patio was a little gross as there was a pile of old ice cream someone dropped by the hostess stand and the picnic table we sat at was covered in big ketchup, mustard, and other unknown stains and leftovers. All in all, the place is really cute and the staff were very nice but the food quality and cleanliness needs some work.

Went with the family to visit the 291 Brewhouse, as the daughter just got a new job out there. Pretty simple, scenic drive from Spokane. I've heard there is plenty of deer in the evening, so be careful. The decor of the place is pretty awesome, very casual, family-friendly. If your looking for a quiet place this isn't for you. For me, it's great. There was a great deck outside for outside dining, but at the time it was pretty chilly. Our service was immediate. We started with the Gorgonzola Fries which were delicious. My main meal was the 291 Honey Garlic Burger.. Very, very tasty. Just the right amount of garlic and honey and not overwhelming. My wife ordered the Brewhouse Brisket Panini. She said it was tasty as well. For a nice relaxing atmosphere and great food, I would recommend this little outpost at Nine Mile Falls.

Relaxing night after a busy day of work. 291 offers a family atmosphere with awesome service. Christian and Corinne up front leading the crew. Both happy and outgoing directing a chaotic atmosphere somehow keeping things running calm and smooth. Those two kids work well together. The cooks are great! Tonight we had Haylee, Robbie and Jacob. Following Corinne’s upbeat attitude and witty humor these cooks turn chaos into community, creating tasty treats while entertaining the local crowd. Haylee is always concentrating, cleaning and running a tight ship. Making good snacks but still personable enough to engage in the regular’s day. Family is what they’re about. 291 is a personable place for people to spend a few minutes for a beer after work or a couple hours with the family. The hosts Hallee, Jaiden, Jacob and Eva engaging with all the customers, young and old, always with a smile and taking the time to engage personally while they handle the controlled chaos. The server’s are great, always personable, smiling and outgoing. It may be crazy for them but they take the time to make your experience pleasant. The other severs Bree, Desirae, Jordan, Char and Laurel are amazing. Thanks for a cool place to hang out. This small town appreciates ya.

On top of it all, 291 provides an amazing place for so many of us veteran’s to hang out, whether together as vet, together with their families and all together as...
