Murphys law comes to mind. We order take out; they say it will be 45 minutes, cool i dont mind waiting one bit! I walk into the restaurant 55 minutes later for the first time. Smells like smoke and looks like it used to be a dirty dive bar. I stand in front not sure where to go because there is no take out expo, no host, nothing. Two waitresses walk past, not even acknowldging an existence two feet away from them. Finally an older gentlemen comes over and asks if we want to be seated. We tell him we have a pick up and he straight up turns around and walks away. Not sure what to do, i watch him. After he gets near the kitchen he waves his arms signalling me to follow. Customer service much? I sit down at the bar area. He says my foods not done yet...okay not a big deal...i understand places get rushed and there was a decent amount of people there. One of the waitresses trying to get my food together comes up and tells me that theyre out of one of the dishes i had ordered an hour ago...she didnt tell me on the phone, or call back. 👌 Cool, glad i was sharing with the family and not specifically getting an entree for someone otherwise that would have been messy. Waitress tries piling three styrofoam containers into the same bag till i look at her funny, hunny, thats not happening-they dont fit lol. She divides them up and tells me to be careful they might spill. After working at an authentic thai place i can tell you that noodle dishes are not meant to be soupy. Someones not doing something right. Well i get it home and its spilled everywhere, at this point im just hoping it tastes decent. I ordered the chow mein 3, pad thai 2, and an order of eggrolls. The pad thai was just noodles in peanut butter (which they made a 3 spicy instead of 2), the chow mein was basically just noodles with crushed red pepper, and the egg rolls had spring roll wrapping. Aside from peanut butter and spicy, there was absolutely no flavouring whatsoever. Looks like some dude who never looked into thai food or culture opened this place. TO TOP IT OFF, THIS PLACE GIVES OUT FORTUNE COOKIES! FORTUNE COOKIES ARE FROM THE CHINESE, THAI PLACES DONT GIVE OUT FORTUNE COOKIES!!!!! Racist. Never written a bad review before, but this place is disgusting, dirty, pricey and inauthentic.
Im just saying, the closest most authentic thai place ive found in the area is Maw Phin in mead over on hwy 2. A thai man and his wife and kids run it. Hes the only cook and purposely doesnt expand his restaurant so that his dishes arent rushed and so that they shed love, spice, and taste. Also, hes actually thai, so he wont be racist and give you a...
Read moreUsually I would have given 4 stars but we showed up at our specified time our order wasn't ready they said they would call, my wife asked to confirm phone number they said it was on the slip and they were cooking it now and couldn't verify. So, after sitting 20min in front of the establishment, visibly mind you, my wife went in to see what was up and it had been sitting for 15 min they tried to call multiple times but they took the number down wrong and either of the "waitresses"could be bothered to walk out the front door to say it was ready so we had moderately warm food, and an irritated 2yr old... They could have handled this...
Read moreI LOVE this restaurant! This is the BEST Thai food I've ever had, and I've eaten a lot of Thai food. The owner even came to our table to chat with us about our food and the story of how they started the restaurant. What a lovely back story. And people to claim this place is racist and not authentic (cough other reviewer cough) obviously didn't take the time to look deeper here. The chef is Thai, and she's amazing! Everything is made from scratch, even the sauces. And they even modified a dish for me since I'm...
