Circle Restaurant — Restaurant in Deerfield Township

Was driving through town and decided to stop since I typically like these little town diners. This place wasn't that great though.

Enter the place and stand around waiting to be seated, despite there being about 4 waitresses around (and maybe 5 tables with people). Eventually someone came and said seat yourself.

First thing I noticed was how grungy this place was. Like truck stop grungy. But whatever, I order the He-man breakfast. About 5 minutes later (no joke, that fast) the food comes out. Guaranteed none of it was fresh. Eggs and potatoes were cold, sausage was definitely microwaved (maybe the bacon too), and there was no way the biscuit I got with it was handmade; tasted like a KFC one. I thought for something labeled as "He-man breakfast" that the portions would be a bit bigger.

Service wasn't that great either. The waitress I had was running around like she was in a lunch rush but she was only serving two tables total. Took quite a while before she even bothered to ask if I wanted more water. At least she was mostly pleasant.

The only real good thing about the place is the prices were cheap. Next time I'm driving through Deerfield, I'm just going to keep on driving and find a different...

We love the circle restaurant, but the last few times have been a bust. This last time in particular we are pretty sure the waitress forgot to put our order in. We waited 1 hour and 15mins for our food. It wasn't until people around us that had sat after us started getting there food did we mention to the waitress we had been sitting an awfully long time for our food. We had all ordered eggs, hashbrows and toast during late lunch during a rather slow period. Not anything crazy that required a ton of work and effort.

Then when we finally received our food, our eggs were over cooked, our potatoes were still rather raw and the toast was burnt. My daughters huge pancake that they are know for wasn't even cooked all the way through. The only thing that was good was my biscuits and gravy. But I'm not sure how you mess that up.

Just sad to see another mom and pop place going down hill. We would rather give our money to these places instead of corporate places. I hope they look at their reviews and take into consideration the changes that need to be made so we can continue to give our money to them and enjoy a good home-cooked...

Service was horrible, waitress didn't even tell us her name. Portions was off with every plate, green beans was out of a can and microwaved with no added flavor. They charge extra for gravy and maybe give 2 tablespoons of it, if your lucky. Kids liked the chicken fingers but one was missing a side. Waitress said well since it didn't come out and it was free with your meal, it don't matter. It mattered cause that's why we paid the price, it was part of the meal. The ice tea had a old flavor to it, which the waitress argued with us because we didn't like it, like who gives a attitude and argues with a customer. It was our first and last time at the restaurant. It's a shame cause with all the hype, we was really hoping it'd be a good place to go eat. Oh, and I forgot, the waitress gave us weird looks the whole time. There was added prices to our bill that didn't make sense. I will not be going back.
