What a remarkable store. You walk in and can smell the smoked produce and if you weren't hungry, you will be. Everything is smoked in house behind the shop area over a fire of apple, cherry, hickory or sweet maple woods. There is a board on the left listing all their homemade sausages from all around the world as well as hams and other items. We bought some kielbasa, Canadian bacon and breakfast sausages. The owner overheard a question we asked about the smoking process and gave us a backstage tour and it was just wonderful. The fire is lit in the basement below the racked meats and the smell was so wonderful. We then bought a bigger ring of kielbasa as we knew we wouldn't get this chance again on our year long tour of North America. Its a really special place.

I've been out to Pekarski's a few times now and it's made my short list of good meat suppliers. This region is home to many farmers and skilled butchers and smokers of eastern Eurooean heritage. They know their way around a smoker. Pekarski's is superbly clean and organized and they have real gems in their coolers and freezers. Brats and kielbasas abound and there are varieties of bacon as well as other cured and smoked meats. It's easy to access, only a couple miles from rt 91 and rts 10 and 5. Check 'em out!

A no frills place that consistently delivers the best home crafted pork products that is second to none. Their kielbasa (especially the kielbasa with hot cheese) is some of the best you'll ever have. If you're in the area, you owe yourself a visit.

this is the greatest place in the known universe

seriously - they make their own sausage, it's local, delicious, you can get it fresh (or frozen), their smoked bacon is out of this world, and they were so freaking amazing that even when they lost power and we drove 2 hours to go here and were 'technically' closed - they estimated with cash so they could electronically put the transaction in when the power came back on for us.

to me, that is worth 10 stars :)

also they have cheese curds and other delicious things from other local farms/producers,...

Pekarski's Sausage is one of the best sausage makers in New England. I have been there and watched people from Virginia buy 50 pounds of sausage because they can't get anything nearly as good between their home and here. We have done taste tests with very fancy sausage places in New York City, and Pekarski's comes out on top. Simple, family-owned-and-operated, and now they even take credit cards! If you are nearby and you like sausage, you really need to check this place out. Oh, and their bacon and other cuts of pork are...
