The Farmhouse — Restaurant in Delavan

So the wife and I just got home and may have to take a food nap! We are so full! We ventured over to Delavan, IL for some food at The Farmhouse. Everything was top notch, clean, inviting, super friendly staff (and clientele), delicious verity of beer (wife had a cider) and best of all the food! It was so good and so big! I had a horseshoe, chicken, philly cheesesteak and some darn good waffle fries. My wife had the Saturday special: 16oz NY strip cooked to perfection! It was fantastic! I’m going to honest, I would have gotten a picture of her steak but my fat self was hungry and my food looked and tasted so good that by the time I pulled my fat face away from the fork she had already torn into it a bit and it wouldn’t have been a fair picture of how great it really was. Drove over to Delavan to try out the Farmhouse for the first time. When we pulled up we thought that they were closed because there weren't any cars parked around the building. We realized they were open now and went on in, I guess we were the only people planning on eating lunch there today at that time. A couple people walked in afterwards but not many. Didn't have to wait too long for our food and the cool thing about that is it all came out fresh. As a starter, we ordered the mozzarella cheese sticks. There were three of us and we got six so it worked out perfect! Between the three of us we ordered the chicken strip basket and the tenderloin basket. It all came out fresh, the chicken strips were pretty large too. We also got the mozzarella cheese sticks and the fried pickles, our bill ended up being about $60...

We went here last night...on a Monday. it wasn't real busy when we got there. It took forever to be waited on & then the guy waiting on us, had an attitude for some reason. He was real rude and snotty the whole experience. I ordered a chicken philly horseshoe and got a chicken philly sandwich. Someone in our party ordered the bluegill dinner and got nasty, soggy fish. Not even sure it was bluegill. Normally we have good luck here but last night ruined it. $80 bucks down the drain for trash food and rude...
