Was up in the area meeting up with someone , looked on goggle maps for close by food , and saw this place covered bridge so I figured I check it out for a quick bite to eat as I hadn't eaten lunch yet. Saw on the menu cheese steak . It said hoagie in the details and back in South Jersey that usually means Lettuce , tomato , onions. After inquiring about that mentioned it was the style of bread and I asked well can we still add the lettuce tomato , onion to it . The young lady said sure no problem. It was about a 5/10 min wait and my sandwich was done . I was in a bit of a rush to not be late for the meet up so I took it to go . I didn't actually get to eat the sandwich until like an hour later and was sad to find out they didn't put the lettuce , or tomato on the cheese steak. It did have caramelized onions though . I would definitely come back and tell people about it because it was a good quality cheese steak and that's huge considering I grew up with authentic Philly cheese steaks. I have to get it 4 stars in the service , because I was charged extra for the lettuce tomato, onions and only received caramelized onions
overall still a 5 star establishment , I would be back but Ill just have to check the food next time...

We heard about this "Italian Market", rave reviews, etc. So when in the area, we thought, as Italian-Americans, we'd make a 20 minute detour, stop, pick up lunch and maybe some great italian specialties.
This is NOT an Italian specialties "market". This is a commonplace deli. Barely Italian at all. As we learned, this used to be a bagel shop for lunch. Apparently they wanted to keep the old clientele.
I mean, they serve American style breakfasts--eggs, bacon, burrito?... for lunch, club sandwich? Sloppy Joe? BLT? Quesadilla? Philly cheesesteak? Where are the panini? No pizza or foccacia? Thurmans cold cuts... Really? And... an Italian deli without Mortadella???
The only Italian things were poor: un-fried mozzarella sticks and arancini (I have to wait?), and a slim, cliche offering of clamshell packed lasagna, ziti, or meatballs. All uninspired and generic looking.
As for the specialties: one barely stocked shelf unit with a few bags of pasta and oils. No fresh cheeses, no caciocavallo, or salumi hanging, no home made sausages.
The few tables were used by workers eating deli sandwiches.
Slim pickings... Niente di...
Read more2024 A lot of changes over the past year. Larry is a great addition to the Cafe. He took the time to come out from the kitchen and chat with us and the other patrons. Food is excellent.
Unfortunately, a gentleman was conducting a meeting on his phone for everyone to hear, walking around completely self-absorbed. When he sat down, he bumped into my wife, he turned around and apologized. We took our food and ate at home. My suggestion, if you have any association with this establishment, take your phone calls outside or in the office. It's a bad look, no one is impressed.
2022 Jess and team have done an amazing job revitalizing our town. Thank you for investing the time and energy into these great eateries (Sergeantsville Inn). It's nice to have a local place to take company or stop in for a quick bite. Desperately needed in our area. We wish you much success. Cafe is a clean, newly refurbished restaurant for eat in or take out. friendly, organized efficient counter service. Kitchen staff was quick and did a great job. Beautifully renovated.
