i've been wanting to go here for the past year but never got the chance. stopped in for lunch today and really enjoyed my experience! the menu isn't huge, but many of the items seem fairly customizable. i ordered the little lisa, which was a grilled cheese on sourdough, and it was delicious. my mother got the zucchini and pepper quiche and really enjoyed it too. we got a few macarons, which were also very tasty. between the two meals and pastries, it was only about $25 total, which i found very reasonable and affordable. my favorite thing by far though was the atmosphere. it's set up in what i assume was once a residential home, and this makes all the sitting spaces feel extra cozy and welcoming. they also had outdoor seating, but it was a little too humid this time to have our lunch outside. it's order at the counter, and they bring your food out to you. the staff was very friendly! i can see why they have such great reviews, and i look forward to visiting again and stocking up on some of the sweet pastries!

I visited with my family for some tea on a Saturday. First course: deviled egg was lacking flavor and under seasoned. The salad was very fresh and yummy, though. The tea sandwiches- cucumber and cream cheese was rather heavy than refreshing. Egg salad was flavorless with egg shells in it (I let them know, received no apology of any sort). Pâté sandwich was not appealing to me. I can see some people liking it but my table did not. Curry turkey was amazing- well seasoned with lots of flavor. Curry was not overpowering. It was well integrated and balanced with other ingredients. Scones were not good. The plain scone had an interesting smell to it. Clotted cream was runny, lemon curd was mid, but the berry (raspberry?) jam was delicious. It was odd that they serve scones the last, AFTER the sweets. Traditionally it is sandwiches, scones, and sweets. The sweets were good (except for madeleine). Especially the fruit tart with strawberry on it! It was very yum. Strawberries were also quite fresh.

We decided to grab a late lunch once day last week. I order the quiche with a side salad and my husband had the Dijon Sandwich. My quiche was a little disappointing. The crust was heavy and soggy..the texture made me think it was heated in a microwave vs an oven and the texture and flavor of the quiche Lorraine itself tasted and felt like it had more egg whites than eggs or cream..very little bacon or cheese. And my side salad was just lettuce. My husband's sandwich had a delicious flavor; chicken breast wasn't dried out but the croissant was tough. We enjoyed sitting in the new tables out back.

I ordered a chicken Croissant , And the famous white lima bean and ham soup. I was sick as a dog for three days with food poisoning. Myself and my friend , we ate the same thing. Completely ruined my birthday the next day I was sick as a dog ,I could not even enjoy my day. The owner was nice but reluctantly did not take responsibility for my food poisoning ;she denied that she ever had a problem with anything in her restaurant. I disagree 100%. I think Hells kitchen or Gordon Ramsay may need to give her a visit. There was no traffic in the restaurant and she probably saves the soup for an extended period of time. Or doesn’t hold the temperature properly. If you go to this place you’re probably safe with keeping with a coffee tea and a baked pastry that came from another establishment in the case note to self. I am simply horrified that an establishment of this scale that they claim and this neighborhood would be so cheap to where they would keep all soup with pork ham inside of it that could potentially kill someone poisoning them. My stomach was so injured it felt like knives. My stomach will never forgive them. I may not eat for a couple of weeks after that experience. This is 200% the truth I would never lie maliciously to hurt anyone’s establishment. The public needs to know about this place and what they did to me and my friend they need to be...

Centreville Place is more than just a place to grab a bite to eat - it's a true neighborhood gem that you won't want to miss. When my family had just moved to the area, we stumbled upon this cozy spot… and we knew right away that we had found something special. The team at the cafe, led by the wonderful Elizabeth, went out of their way to make us feel welcome, introducing us to neighbors, giving us the lay of the land, and even offering to let me work from the cafe when our wifi wasn't set up yet. It's that kind of hospitality that keeps us coming back time and time again.

It's not just the team that makes Centreville Cafe stand out - it's the incredible food, too. From the highest-quality ingredients to the authentic flavors of France, every dish is a true delight. Whether you're in the mood for a breakfast sammie, a savory quiche, or a delicious omelet, you won't be disappointed. The pastries and baked goods are also simply divine.

But what really sets Centreville Cafe apart is the community that Elizabeth has built around it. She is always looking for ways to engage the community and has truly created a hub of activity and connection in the heart of the neighborhood. We are so happy to have discovered this wonderful cafe and always look forward to...

Had lunch at the charming Centreville Cafe today with a friend. I ordered the sandwich special (a turkey, Cooper cheddar, pear, and dijon panini) and my friend ordered the Zippy (turkey breast, cranberry stuffing, cranberry mayo, lettuce in a wrap). My sandwich was cold and served on toasted bread. The cheese was limp, not melted, and there was nothing about it that indicated it was supposed to be a panini. Additionally, there wasn't enough filling to warrant an entire sandwich and I ended removing the contents of half of the sandwich and adding them to the other half to make it feel more like a full sandwich (I left the other pieces of bread on my plate along with some of the cheese). The sandwich was also incredibly bland - a hint of cranberry sauce would have been a welcome addition. My friend said her wrap was tasty, but she had to remove the Romaine lettuce as it was "hot" and completely wilted. Overall, for the $11 price tag for each sandwich/wrap, lunch at the Centreville Cafe was meh. It bears mentioning that I was really disappointed because I love supporting locally owned small businesses and we were really looking forward to...
