I ordered a chicken Croissant , And the famous white lima bean and ham soup. I was sick as a dog for three days with food poisoning. Myself and my friend , we ate the same thing. Completely ruined my birthday the next day I was sick as a dog ,I could not even enjoy my day. The owner was nice but reluctantly did not take responsibility for my food poisoning ;she denied that she ever had a problem with anything in her restaurant. I disagree 100%. I think Hells kitchen or Gordon Ramsay may need to give her a visit. There was no traffic in the restaurant and she probably saves the soup for an extended period of time. Or doesn’t hold the temperature properly. If you go to this place you’re probably safe with keeping with a coffee tea and a baked pastry that came from another establishment in the case note to self. I am simply horrified that an establishment of this scale that they claim and this neighborhood would be so cheap to where they would keep all soup with pork ham inside of it that could potentially kill someone poisoning them. My stomach was so injured it felt like knives. My stomach will never forgive them. I may not eat for a couple of weeks after that experience. This is 200% the truth I would never lie maliciously to hurt anyone’s establishment. The public needs to know about this place and what they did to me and my friend they need to be...
Read moreCentreville Place is more than just a place to grab a bite to eat - it's a true neighborhood gem that you won't want to miss. When my family had just moved to the area, we stumbled upon this cozy spot… and we knew right away that we had found something special. The team at the cafe, led by the wonderful Elizabeth, went out of their way to make us feel welcome, introducing us to neighbors, giving us the lay of the land, and even offering to let me work from the cafe when our wifi wasn't set up yet. It's that kind of hospitality that keeps us coming back time and time again.
It's not just the team that makes Centreville Cafe stand out - it's the incredible food, too. From the highest-quality ingredients to the authentic flavors of France, every dish is a true delight. Whether you're in the mood for a breakfast sammie, a savory quiche, or a delicious omelet, you won't be disappointed. The pastries and baked goods are also simply divine.
But what really sets Centreville Cafe apart is the community that Elizabeth has built around it. She is always looking for ways to engage the community and has truly created a hub of activity and connection in the heart of the neighborhood. We are so happy to have discovered this wonderful cafe and always look forward to...
Read moreHad lunch at the charming Centreville Cafe today with a friend. I ordered the sandwich special (a turkey, Cooper cheddar, pear, and dijon panini) and my friend ordered the Zippy (turkey breast, cranberry stuffing, cranberry mayo, lettuce in a wrap). My sandwich was cold and served on toasted bread. The cheese was limp, not melted, and there was nothing about it that indicated it was supposed to be a panini. Additionally, there wasn't enough filling to warrant an entire sandwich and I ended removing the contents of half of the sandwich and adding them to the other half to make it feel more like a full sandwich (I left the other pieces of bread on my plate along with some of the cheese). The sandwich was also incredibly bland - a hint of cranberry sauce would have been a welcome addition. My friend said her wrap was tasty, but she had to remove the Romaine lettuce as it was "hot" and completely wilted. Overall, for the $11 price tag for each sandwich/wrap, lunch at the Centreville Cafe was meh. It bears mentioning that I was really disappointed because I love supporting locally owned small businesses and we were really looking forward to...
