The Ice cream from this particular creamery was some of the best, if not the best ice cream I've ever had. With more then 20 flavors to choose from, finding one I wanted wasn't hard but trying something new or different was a tasty experience. I was very happy with the ice cream and friendly staff but, unfortunately, there were a couple of things that I wasn't so pleased about. My criticism here isn't meant for any purpose but to help out by bringing attention to these things in order to make a good thing even better. My first and biggest criticism is the tremendous amount of flies that are in the area, particularly concentrated around the 3 pick-up windows. This, unfortunately, is more then what can be tolerated for even a short time. For various reasons, one should expect some flies to be around, because it is a farm and it is outdoors and children and also adults often drip melting delicious ice cream onto the ground. But the massive amount of flies that have been allowed to gather in masses are not only gross and annoying but may be a health risk and this really needs to be addressed and a solution found A.S.A.P.

On a side note: It is a big endorsement for the ice cream and how good it is when you have a swarm of flies that is usually intolerable but yet more then 15 patrons lined waiting to order and more trying to find a place to park and another 25 people waiting for what they ordered. Which brings me to my next complaint, after I ordered, I received 3 out of 4 items within 8 minutes. The fourth item, the second of two milkshakes I had ordered, finally was given to me about 25 minutes after ordering. I would say it is not the fault of the young staff who was nice and courteous through the whole thing but rather the system by which they work is lacking and inefficient. It was interesting to watch them all scramble imside. It was a chaotic scene as the 10 or 11 staff were doing their best to take orders, queue orders to be made, lining up for the milkshake machine, scooping thick ice cream, then calling out to the crowd with the order number and handing over the goods to whomever steps forward. Sometimes calling out the order number and other times calling out the name and flavor of the item that was ordered. I believe this is what caused the delay on my item because it was given to somebody else, twice, before I stayed directly in front off the first pickup window after mentioning to the person in charge, I still haven't received my 4th item yet and the first 3 have just about melted, and made sure to get my shake and get out of there and the swarm of flies. I hope nobody has their feelings hurt by my review here, I sincerely just want to help by bringing attention to some issues. Hopkins Farm Creamery has some fantastic ice cream, worth waiting in line, with a bunch of flies, and potentially waiting a little longer after ordering, but is so good that people are lining up around the block to get some...

For the experience i had, if i could choose zero stars I would. Its a shame that the employees they have care so little about Hopkins. If they continue treating customers so rudely and not caring about their jobs in general i hate to see where the future of Hopkins may be. We paid for our ice cream and then waited 20 minutes. We realized our order had been sitting on a table where they scoop ice cream for almost that entire 20 minutes we waited. Then i approached a girl to ask her why it was sitting back there and she told me it was probably not finished yet and i assured her it was done because we knew what we ordered. After it sat there that whole time it was dripping and melting everywhere. I couldnt believe she even handed it to me that way, a decent human being would have rescooped it when i mentioned it was melting everywhere to her the first time. So we returned it back up to the counter because it was running down our arms just to take it back to the rest of the family in the car because the baby was sleeping. When we returned it back to the counter the girl who took them from us had an attitude when another worker asked me what she could help me with and told me "she was working as fast as she could". There are plenty of other ice cream options around us in Rehoboth so I think for the next few times we will be...

The staff here was very uneducated on their ingredients. I came here bc of the several reviews and mentions of vegan/gf ice cream. It appears to either be one or the other. The staff was completely unaware if the vegan ice cream had gluten in it. Every item should have a label on it and should have the ingredients. How is this place selling ice cream as part of their income and they can’t tell me if there’s gluten in it? My family drove 30 mins to get this ice cream only to have a bunch of teenagers brush us off and have no idea what they were selling. The young kid at the register kept laughing and no one seemed to want to help us. I even asked if there was a manager they could ask. Apparently there wasn’t?! How annoying. They were the only ice cream store in the area that didn’t know what their products had in them. I realize they don’t make the items there that are vegan, but they should still be able to answer if it has other allergens in it. Rehoboth as a whole was very allergy aware. Not here. I will say the place was nice with a ton of flavors. Even gf. Just none that were dairy free and gluten free . There was a farmer’s market stand outside and a really nice big playground for the kids. Wished we could’ve gotten icecream there and enjoyed our night, but this obviously put a damper on wanting...

I have been to this creamery a couple of years ago. Since then, I have visited over 20 ice cream shops and creameries. Today, I decided to stop by and get some ice cream. The second I opened my car door, the smell of cow 💩 poop almost knocked me out. The weather is wet, rainy at times and very humid. I covered my nose, placed my order, waited for my ice cream, and ran back to the car with my ice cream. As I was eating the cherry vanilla, and rum raisin ice cream sundae, I started smelling cow 💩 poop in my car. I quickly switched the AC to recycle and it helped a lot. The 2 scoops of ice cream was huge. I should have gotten 1 scoop. The cherry vanilla reminded me of a hybrid between ice cream and sherbet. It was a little chewy from bits if cherries that don't look like cherry because it was minced? The rum raisin ice cream was much better. Lots of raisins. I don't know how anyone can eat with the smell of cow poop lingering still in the air. I do love that I can see the cows located right next to the Ice cream shop. I have gotten ice cream from many creameries with cows on the farm. The farms were in green pasture; the cows appear to be clean.; And the air smelled fresh. This one was muddy with appearance that seems dirty. It doesn't help with the air smells like poop. 💩

Wow this place is delicious! I saw on their website they had been rated the best ice cream in delaware for 2019 and it’s VERY TRUE! This place really did surprise me! It’s at a very unique location too. It’s at a farm and as of now since COVID it’s drive up ordering. The ice cream was so savory and delicious. And even the waffle cone was soft and sooo good! I got coconut and my girlfriend got strawberry shortcake. Both were amazing! Both ice creams had small chunks inside relating to the flavor. I really like that detail. The ice cream was definitely the best I’ve ever had! I’m really glad I came here. Overall, this was such ana amazing stop! I’d definitely coming here even if you’re an hour away. My own regret was not getting two scoops!
