It’s a shame the food is good, because I don’t think I will ever bring my business back here again as the customer service here is AWFUL, at least when there’s no managers in the restaurant. I came here last Sunday with my family as dine-in customers. We ordered a 14” thin crust gourmet pizza (“the Trio”) to split with my mom & I, and my grandmother ordered a hot sandwich. When we ordered the pizza my mom asked if the pizza came with any red sauce and the waitress said “umm... I think so. I think it comes with marinara.” My mom said “okay, that’s fine.” 20 or so minutes later the sandwich is brought out for my grandmother and we were told the pizza would be out shortly. Another 10 minutes later and another young girl comes out with a Sicilian pizza. We told her we did not get Sicilian and she said “well you guys got the trio right?” And we said “yes, but we ordered the medium thin crust that was on the menu” then she said “ok, so do you want us to make another one?” We kindly said yes as we cannot eat all that extra crust. She didn’t seem happy about that. Another almost 20 minutes goes by and the new pizza comes out. When we got our check, we were charged for a LARGE gourmet pizza and almost 2 extra bucks for extra sauce. The waitress fixed her one mistake and gave us a new check for a medium gourmet pizza, but did not take off the extra sauce charge. At that point she walked off so we went to the counter to ask to speak with a manager. We were told by the lady at the counter (same one who brought the pizza out) that there was no manager there that day, and she refused to take off the extra sauce charge herself because we “asked” for it when it did not come with it (which was not true, we only asked IF it came with any red sauce and said it was fine if it did). Up until this point, my family & I were super nice to them about their mistakes but we did not appreciate when they started giving us an attitude and telling us that WE were wrong. So between not being offered ANY type of recourse at all for THEIR mistake of making the wrong pizza and having to wait extra for what we DID order, and instead them OVERCHARGING us for extra sauce we didn’t ask for because our waitress had no clue about their own menu, arguing with us unprofessionally and refusing to just take off the charge, and then the attempt to overcharge us on the size of the pizza... we will not be back. I really hope that if a manager was there to see this situation that day, that we would have been treated a...
Read moreI will never come back to this restaurant again. My lab research team (consisting of multiple doctors and PhD students) and I decided to come here after a long days work. Before we even sat down, we noticed the main waitress (lady with short hair) give us an odd look. We didn’t think anything of it until we put our orders in and she told us the price of every single item as if we didn’t have the menus in our hands. We thought it was strange and then we noticed she did not mention the prices to any other tables when we listened to her take orders. She stared at us THE ENTIRE time, almost like she was waiting for us to run out! You may think she was just overly attentive but she never checked on us once after taking our order! I believe these were micro-aggressions, as our table of 6 was predominately people of color. The other waitresses/food runners were much nicer as they were the only ones who took care of us during our entire stay. It was obvious the waitress took one look at us, decided in her head we weren’t going to tip, and acted accordingly before we even sat down. Our team loves to try new places within the area, and we have become regulars at some of our favorite restaurants! It was very disheartening to witness the blatant prejudice against myself and my colleagues. I’ve never experienced service like this before in my entire life living in Delaware. It was shocking.
The food was okay but it wasn’t good enough to put up with the strangeness of the staff. We left very dissapointed by the service and the staff. I do not recommend going here if you don’t support this type...
Read moreCalled order in, for “Spaghettini with MEAT SAUCE”, as well as Spaghettini with Puttanesca, and a Bar Pizza, and also ordered 3 desserts while at the store picking up my families order. Was not given an order read back over the phone, or an itemized pricing breakdown... granted I’ve been a loyal, understanding to mix ups and issues, never complained before customer for years now. When I arrived home, noticed that I was given “Tomato Sauce” instead of “Meat Sauce”, which if any of you are loyal customers, know this is a COMPLETELY different meal. Somehow the order taker had mistakenly entered Tomato, and I was charged for Tomato, again unknowingly with a large order.
So I call and ask them to fix it for me; I’m not upset, etc. Was told to come bring the order back and they would replace it, and call it even. Except when I get to the store, not only is it not REPLACED with fresh pasta or food, they CHARGE me the $4.00 difference after driving 12 miles BACK to the store, and THEN use the OLD pasta and just “throw some meat sauce on there for me”.... yes a direct quote. I was so taken back, I just paid the $4, and will NOT be returning. Absolutely unreal, maybe had the phone clerk not told me to bring it back and replace it, I wouldn’t have expected it. But to drive 11 miles; PAY for the mistake, and then have to EAT MY OLD REHEATED FOOD now going on an HOUR after my family is done eating?
Happy...
