I will attempt to be as thorough and fair as possible in this review. For starters one thing to know before coming here that it is a very much a local favorite here on the Westside so you should expect a Westside atmosphere, very cozy everyone knows everyone sort of place, has a tavern sort of feel as well. It's a seat yourselves kind of place and the staff is incredibly friendly if not a little busy especially during the night time. Other than that very polite staff.
When I go to a restaraunt for the first time I typically order the specialty items. In this case I came to Chandlers and ordered the The huge Chandlers burger, and their fried sausage gotta and onion balls.
The Chandler Balls (can't remember the name exactly) were so undercooked that when split open they poured out in a soupy consistency. The burger itself (Was massive I will say that!) Was so greasy that after one bite despite having a good grip the contents spilled out onto the plate and through my fingers. Patty itself as another user pointed out was almost as round as a ball which probably sidnt help with the ingredients staying between the two patties. Burger came with a side of fries which were not bad in anyway but definitely about fast food quality.
A single beer ran about $6, not too terrible.
Other than that it was an okay experience. I do plan on giving this west side favorite another chance in the future but I think I'll be checking out some other local...
Read moreWater Glasses were chipped at the top,I ordered a grilled chicken, spinach(I think it was called the Bistro salad, forgive me if I'm wrong,a salad non the less) salad, the chicken was anything but grilled, looked and tasted like it was boiled or microwaved,no char lines, etc, the spinach was good(fresh) but stalky, the ranch tasted cheap devoid of flavor,my girl(Wife)ordered a Nati Burger and fries she said it was ok but pointed out the glasses, the service was there but abrupt, or server didn't even serve, someone from the kitchen brought out our order, dropped it,didn't ask if it looked ok and or if we needed anything,I had to flag down our server for Tabasco, she did come by eventually to offer more tea or water, but it was obvious she was too busy for adequate service expectation, they'll no doubt blame it on a staff shortage, that is the new go to when you don't receive the service you should receive, glad we didn't have to go far to experience this, now for the positive comments, the place looked clean, the bar was impressive although I didn't drink, plenty of tv screens and space, the wait for our food was reasonable, there was also a decent...
Read moreWas there last night and waiting for a table. Decided to grab a drink from the bar and watch to see if any seats opened. Was standing there for about 20 mins watching for a spot to open while standing in the way of servers due to how busy it was and trying to stay close to the bar. All of the sudden a couple walk in and walk to the 1 open chair, the bar tender asks another couple to slide down so he can fit another chair in, he gets the chair for them and walks around and us and the bar and gets them drinks as he knows them. He sees the look on my face and asks if everything's alright, I tell him we were waiting for a spot that's why we were standing right there and he said he didn't know that was our plan and "they come in every friday" talking about the couple he just got a chair for. So pretty saying my money as a customer didn't matter because they come in every Friday he helped them 1st. He could of said my bad let me see if I can find you a a spot, offered a beer for misunderstanding, anything besides saying what he said. I think his name is Jeremy as I talked to other people and all of them said "it must have been...
