Food was fair at best, part of food was cold then we were overcharged by about $7- $10. Two of us ate lunch there and the bill came to $34 when one person's meal was $9 and the other person's was between $9-$10 so bill should of been around $18-$20 plus 2 glasses of tea. When I questioned the bill I was told that it was tax. I informed her that we have eaten there quite often and ordered the same thing and it was around $20 and asked her if she was saying that there was $10 of tax on lunch specials when she said yes and refused to let me see menu to add everything up again I told her that was fine we just wouldn't be back again. I was actually surprised because the food and the service are both usually good and never had any problems before. When we went in it was like no one was there, we stood around for a few minutes then yelled out before someone finally came from the back. While we were eating someone else came in stood around for awhile then finally whistled to get her to come up and take their order. I'd never seen this lady before it's usually a couple of guys there. This was a horrible experience from the terrible food, to the overcharge. I won't give them a chance to take advantage of me again and I suggest...
Read moreThese guys know how to feed a hungry bunch! This is a small place that is about a mile out of town. We pulled up and it was empty. We were concerned, but decided to try it anyway. They serve genuine Mexican food. It was not Tex-Mex or even New Mexican. We happened to visit on one of the buy one get one free margaritas promotion days. We had peach and strawberry, both frozen. The strawberry was served with a salty rim. The peach was served with salt and sugar rum. This brought out the flavors of the peach perfectly. The lunch plate prices were good. It was under $10 a plate. The food was good too. The star of the show was the fresh made salsa. We even purchased some to take home after our trip. Since we were from several hundred miles away, he even shared the family recipe for salsa! This is a must visit if in the...
Read moreNot only is the staff super friendly but they usually remember all of our allergies and who in the family hates guacamole and who loves it. In an area with, I believe, three Mexican restaurants this is our family's favorite. If you go for the first time I suggest the shrimp taco salad, it's amazing! Great service, outstanding food, really good with families that have small kids! Just a great environment to be in. When me and my boyfriend went last he orders two things just to have a good lunch to take to work...
