We had the pleasure of being invited to the soft opening of Death By Pizza’s second brick-and-mortar location, and it did not disappoint! What started as a pop-up during the pandemic has evolved into a beloved local staple — and their newest spot proves they’re here to stay. With its bold style, welcoming team, and mouthwatering pizza, Death By Pizza is making a lasting impression.
The decor perfectly reflects the restaurant’s edgy name, with a sleek black theme running throughout the space. From the black walls to the moody lighting, the aesthetic adds a cool, modern vibe that feels both inviting and on-brand. It’s the perfect backdrop for enjoying their signature pies — a little rebellious, but warm and comfortable at the same time.
The service was equally impressive. Mario, our server, was attentive and friendly, making sure we felt taken care of the entire night. Alex, the manager, kept the evening running smoothly, checking in with guests to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. And Cody, the owner, added a personal touch by stopping by tables to introduce himself and share his gratitude for the community’s support. His passion for Death By Pizza’s journey — from pop-up to permanent success — was evident and inspiring.
And then there’s the pizza. Each pie was a perfect balance of crispy, airy crust and fresh, flavorful toppings. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic or one of their more creative offerings, Death By Pizza delivers on every level. The attention to detail and quality ingredients shine through in every bite.
Overall, Death By Pizza is more than just a catchy name — it’s a true labor of love, built on community, creativity, and seriously good pizza. We’re excited to see this second location thrive and can’t wait to return for another pie. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and check them out....
Read moreFood is great, service not so much. I made a reservation for 5:30pm. Upon arrival, I wasn't greeted nicely. I arrived on time and even gave my credit card information to hold the reservation. They confirmed my reservation and before I was seated, the one hostess said, " you can only have the table for an hour is that ok? We have another reservation." I'm sorry I wasn't as important as the other reservation. I paid too and was more than willing to sacrifice the $15.00 if i didn't show. What a pretentious place for a pizza joint. I simply responded by saying, " that depends on how quickly you can make my pizza. I like to take my time when I eat." I had a baby with me as well. (as if that's predictable). I'd love to see this person come kick us out after the one hour. BTW when we arrived, about 8 tables were empty. I am not sure what their deal is, but if I am treated this way again, I won't be coming back. Why pay $30 for being treated poorly when Little caesar's makes the same type of pie for 20 bucks less.
Secondly, whoever heard of no free refills on an arnold palmer? Unless its fresh squeezed Lemonade, this should never be the case. I've ordered this beverage my entire life and lived in florida my entire life. Never have I seen a Florida restaurant charge for an arnold palmer refill without an explanation.
The pizza is amazing. I will give them that. But honestly, my treatment at this place speaks volumes as to why they were so great when they were just a pick up place. You guys need to work with your hostesses on treating customers with respect.
This is also no reflection on our server, Maya. She was...
Read moreSo a rather unorthodox reason for this review, but nonetheless necessary. My wife and I walked in around 7:45pm on a Sat night and asked for a table for two. There were several open tables. There were two young ladies, and a 'manager looking' gentleman standing at the podium. We were asked by one of the ladies "do you have a reservation" and we answered no. We were then told "we are not taking walk-in's, only reservations". Again, several open tables. So instead of saying "wait here, we should be able to get you in soon, or sit tight, we'll do what we can, or ....if our tables don't show up, we'll get you seated" (as ANY good business would do; especially a new business), we we're just pushed away and told they we're not taking walk-ins. What kind of a way is this to do business. They didn't care, they made no effort; they just let us walk out without a concern. And BTW, this was our first time in. Do you know what the optics of this says??? This is no way to make friends in the neighborhood; especially when you're new kid on the block. And might I add word of mouth is huge. Death by Pizza, perhaps rethink your strategies a bit, and be more customer friendly. Or at best show you care. Make an effort to earn each and every customer. Show that you want to be a part of our community and make people feel welcome. Don't push people out the door without the slightest concern as to how it looks or what it's saying to your customer. Bad for business; bad all the way around. We welcome you to our community, but show that 'you too' want to be a...
