Wanted to try this place while it was on Texoma parkway before it moved to new location. Didn't even realize they had reopened until accidently coming upon someone's comments elsewhere.
This is kind of strange location as it shares occupancy with a small convenience store. There is an odor upon entering and unsure if it is the store or restaurant? Not real pleasant smelling.
We ordered to go as there is no real seating, a couple of fold up chairs to sit on and wait for your order.
We ordered the beef fajita feast and the 6 street tacos. Three chicken and 3 pork. The fajitas are made with a shaved beef.. so a little different than traditional with a good amount of onions and peppers. Pretty good. The tacos were decent as well.. I like the pork as the better option of the two we ordered. It had chunky tender pieces of meat. The chicken was a ground chicken? Flavor profiles were somewhat similar across the board. The sides with the fajitas were a cilantro rice.. which was ok and frijoles. The refried beans were actually some of better refried beans I've had.. not sure what the secret was with them? Pretty tasty though. We opted for hot salsa. He gave us a green salsa and honestly.. not sure what was up with it.. not hot.. old? it tasted like something got mixed with it.. not pleasant.
Service. It would be hard for me to try this place again in the future.. and it will be a while before I return. But the owner/chef here was actually Super cool to talk with and order from and saved future business with Us just by his attitude alone.
Maybe an off day? Would rather see this place in a decked out food truck. Worth checking out...
Read moreDefinitely one to remember! Me and my family came here for lunch. Hands down, one of the best Tex-mex food places we’ve eaten. The salsa, THE SALSA, fresher than any salsa I’ve ever had! Chips though tasted and appeared store-bought, cheese dip had a velveeta flavor and tasted decent. But the salsa! Amazing. Main foods were delicious! My husband and I ordered tacos, a birria and a bacon/chicken one. YUMMY! Our mother-in-law ordered a quesadilla and she loved the shredded chicken on it.
It is an indoor picnic-type restaurant not a full service restaurant. Just to keep in mind. There wasn’t any high chairs or boosters and this could be the reason but we made it work. The food was well worth it!
The cashier and chef, possibly the owner? Were both super friendly and approachable.
I HIGHLY recommend Landmark Tex-mex as one of the first Mexican food places to try if...
Read moreCame across this gem by chance a few weeks back and recently returned as I had been thinking of the food ever since.
The gentleman running the place is beyond friendly and kind, always radiating an air of positivity and I feel as if I am being welcomed into a safe and comforting home rather than a restaurant.
Twice I've ordered the Birria Tacos and twice I've been taken to culinary heaven. Each bite is packed with flavor, and the offerings of salsas and dips each bring their own fantastic twist which will have yoy struggling to just pick one. You can clearly taste the passion for the craft with each order and the homey classic tunes playing definitely make it a go to for a meal that will fill both your stomach...
