Jalapeno sausage. Pulled pork. And Brisket are on this plate, topped with spich bbq sauce. Collard greens, and green beans round out the meal. (Pickles and onions added by me)

1st. The jalapeño sausage was not spicy. And it lacked flavorings. Taste like a very generic plain sausage.

2nd. Pulled pork also flavorless. Slide a pork roast in the oven with no seasonings and cook it until it's falling apart. That's about what we got here.

3rd. Brisket could have cooked a little while longer. It wasn't tough. It just needed to go a little while longer. And as with the previous to meats, it could have used some seasoning.

4th. The barbecue sauce was not even slightly spicy. But at least it was homemade.

5th. They went a little heavy with the vinegar on the collar green. But I like them that way. And so I thoroughly enjoyed them.

6th. Green beans were perfectly cooked. They could have at least used some salt and pepper on them.

There was no bread or anything to go with this meal. I could have purchased a piece of corn bread tho. The service was great. The restaurant looked clean and the counterspaces looked clean and sanitized.

I spent about $22 for this meal. It was filling. However, it absolutely did not satisfy my...

Its been awhile since i left a review, I either LOVE a place or I highly dislike it. But this smokehouse does have me stuck in the middle. The food is mid at best. But their service is top tier. The employees make the business better. The location is great the convenience of a gas station, truck stop, electric car charger, clean bathrooms, 2 eateries w/ dine-in option, great knick-knacks, room to walk your dog, the store allowed me to bring my registered service dog in w/out issue. However, there are no doggie bags available when you walk your dog which is sad. My personal experience at Tx Best Smokehouse was they just didn't give you enough chopped meat on any sandwich so i ordered double the meat which was not doubled they said it was but it in fact WAS NOT and i tipped pretty big. I did call and speak w/ the supervisor who comped me a free meal but I'd rather have just gotten my $50 plus back. I bought back the ENTIRE order untouched. If you have a choice to stop at Buckees and get bar b que DO IT! For the price you pay here you will get double the meat there AND ITS DELICIOUS! This place is decent and i rate it overall 3.5 for the food a definite 5 stars for their service....

The employee was helpful and friendly. What I was offered was not the best on the sides and the veggie plate. The roasted potatoes had a spicy flavor added, mashed potatoes had a funky flavor. The baked potato itself was good. The works without meat were good except the fake bacon bits you would think they would give you real bacon bits. They didn't ask if you wanted certain toppings or more of them. Don't care for ranch on baked potato before I could stop them putting it on there. For the price of what I ordered was jaw dropping. I probably won't go there again. I ordered 2 of the pies they offered through the store. One lemon and apple. Grew up on fried pies and know you'll never get as good as homemade but these were just awful. The lemon was a pie filling, the apple was canned pie filling. The pies are very big and the filling didn't even fill half of it. The dough was thick and greasy. On the prep table the fillings were out on the table. Not refrigerated. Won't be buying anything from that...

These liars actually have pictures of grilled steak and grilled chicken plastered on the outside of their store, yet they do not sell most of the food items in the pictures. Do not go in there if you want what the actual delicious grilled items pictured on outside of their store. Also, expect to get laughed at and joked about if you complain. The biggest joke is that they announce themselves at "Texas Best". This is laughable since Texas is famous for pit-style bbq, which they do not serve at all, it isn't even flame grilled like all the pictures they advertise. It is all smoked, which is fine, but just not what they put in their photos. I would be willing to bet that there isn't a single bbq competition ever won in texas that didn't have actual flame involved, so how can they be "Texas Best"? The owners aren't even from Texas!

NOPE! NEVER AGAIN! Not worth it! MEATLESS SPARE RIBS!! The sliced brisket- FULL OF FAT- I MEAN FULLL!! At first I was SPEECHLESS that she was serving 3/4 of FAT on each slice of “ BRISKET “
literally 1/2 pound of pure fat , then had a bad attitude when I asked her if she could please cut off the fat because I DIDNT see any MEAT on the scale. If it wasn’t for meeting friends there to eat I definitely would have left she made me feel uncomfortable. Waste of $100 . Not the “ best” and overpriced for meatless ribs and fatty brisket.
