Mamma's Kitchen Cafe — Restaurant in Dewey-Humboldt

Our breakfast was absolutely delicious!!! The service provided by our waitress was excellent. This despite the fact there was a man she was also taking care of (next to us); who was extremely rude to her, and say he was just messing with her as if it was OK to be talking down insultingly to her. She handled herself pleasantly polite and professionally to him inspite of his very sad and poor behavior. My husband and I were grateful for the great food and outstanding service; which overshadowed the man's disgusting and disrespectful behavior. By the way when the place is busy...please kindly expect you will be waiting longer for your order. This means business is great! Having said this; we go for not only the awesome food and EXCELLENT service; this includes the atmosphere. To add an important note for the rude and impatient people; if you want something quick during a busy time, which it was busy, straight through from opening to closing time...then please by all means; kindly go to a fast food chain with a drive through. As stated before they were quite busy however attentive....this means "business is good". This is why the regulars always come back...which we definitely will...they are worth the pleasant wait; due to their awesome, cozy...

Almost didn't stop here, but I am so glad I did!! Was greeted warmly and seated quickly when I walked in. Young lady followed me to the table of my choice, gave me a menu and silverware, and asked what I wanted to drink. They have sweet tea!!! And it's good! After a few minutes to study the menu, a waitress took my order; bacon cheeseburger with an over-easy egg added on top along with fries. About 5 minutes later my food arrived, hot and nicely presented. Burger was open faced with mayo on the top bun, slice of onion, tomato slices and pickles on the side. Mustard and ketchup in dispensers on the table. Add the amounts you want for your own tastes. I put the top bun on top of the perfectly cooked egg, breaking the yolk and having it flow thru the fixins!! Oh man, that was a GOOD BURGER!! FRESH CUT SHOESTRING FRIES!!!! What a treat they were!! And a nice portion of them, too. Fresh cut fries taste so much better than frozen!! And the shoestring style is my favorite kind. Tried this place after church 5/19/2024. We had heard this place was good. Good does not do it justice, the food was great. I had the chicken fried steak (actually a breaded chopped beef patty smothered in gravy) and a couple eggs with 2 pancakes. Lorri had French toast and scrambled eggs and bacon. So, everything is fresh to order. Mine was fabulous, and the pancakes were different... better than we're used to at IHOP. Lorri's French toast was like Texas French toast (thicker cut of bread dipped in egg batter) and she said her eggs were a bit tougher than she had expected. I told her next time, tell the waitress you want them fluffy not dead. Waitress was very friendly and knew the menu. The bacon was the prize winner here! Next time, we're going to try the 6 pc bacon B.L.T. and...
