It's exciting to see Bikanervala finally open a location nearby, bringing a taste of India closer to home. The Chole Bhature lived up to expectations, delivering the authentic flavors reminiscent of the original taste in India. However, the kachori was a bit of a letdown—soggy and evidently reheated, lacking the crispness one hopes for in such a dish.
Price-wise, the menu leans toward the higher end, which might feel a bit steep considering the portion sizes—particularly the chole served with the bhature, which could have been more generous. That being said, the ambiance and location certainly add to the experience, creating a welcoming atmosphere that complements the food. The staff deserves a mention for their polite and courteous interactions, making the visit pleasant despite the minor disappointments.
Overall, while some aspects hit the mark perfectly, a bit more attention to freshness and portion sizes could elevate the experience further. Still, it's a great addition to the neighborhood for those craving authentic Indian flavors!
I also want to mention how kind the owner, Hemant, is and how much he contributes to the comfortable, homely...
Read moreWe visited this place with a lot of excitment only to be disappointed. The four of us orders four dishes - two deluxe Thalia, chola bhature and poori aloo.
Each thali came with a delicious naan and tasty tandoori parantha; we loved them. The dal was good, but very little in quantity . The sabjis were not very tasty and perhaps deliberately had no salt.
The excellent bhatura had inadequate amount of chola.
The restaurant was clean and has plenty of chairs and tables. In fact more than needed so it was difficult navigate between them.
Hope they can fix the aloo subji and chola and chola.
We love Bikanervala in India and would love to see this raise to that quality.
The service was average when we complained about the liquid gravy with no potatoes, we were told the potatoes had dissolved.
We need better US standard customer service. Hope that can fix it.
Not planning to visit again :-(.
The beautiful poori came with liquid aloo...
Read moreI wasn't expecting much when I walked into this new local spot, but wow — I was blown away. My Indian friend recommended that I try Chole Bhature, so I ordered one (it’s giant!) and a paratha stuffed with potatoes and served with raita because I love potatoes!
This wasn’t my first time trying Indian food, but it felt like the first time I experienced authentic Indian flavors. Every bite was bold, rich, and yummy. The spicy curry was perfectly balanced, and I loved eating it traditionally — with my hands and using the bread as a spoon. That simple act made the whole meal feel even more real and connected.
The staff were super friendly, and even some guests made me feel welcome (I was the only non-Indian person there). It’s rare to find a place where the food, the culture, and the hospitality come together so naturally.
This place is a gem. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes — and the sweets too!...
