My first time at Big Hill Cider House to hear the LeBlancs. There is a covered space but on a warm summer night we sat outside. There are some uncomfortable wood table and bench seating, we were glad to have brought our own as most other people also did. There was a BBQ food truck. I had a very good light alcohol cider Little Round Top. The staff are very friendly. There events are free. A port-a-potty bathroom. It would be helpful if their website event page had a link to the musicians who will be playing there so you can hear if a stinger/band you may not know. A link to the food trucks that will be there would also help. This was nice way to spend a warm summer Friday night. We will be back for the...

This past October my brothers and I had the chance to hike approximately eight miles from the other side of South Mountain near Kings Gap to Big Hill Ciderworks. The hike was wonderfully capped off with some delicious hard cider.

The atmosphere at Big Hill Ciderworks was casual and welcoming, with numerous picnic tables scattered around the outdoor seating area, perfect for relaxing after a hike. Inside, the environment was lively, especially due to an ongoing trivia event, which added to the noise level.

I had a flight of cider and I thoroughly enjoyed the Michaux Mule, which was a semisweet cider loaded with tons of ginger. My brothers ordered pizza and said they were happy with their choices. I enjoyed my time and hope to...

Stopped in last Friday evening on the way down to see friends in Virginia with my wife and dog. Excellent wood-fired pizza from the oven in the truck outside cooked by an extremely attentive and friendly chef. Tremendous cider which is not cheap but it is worth the money! Excellent weather made the outside area which is surrounded by apple-laden trees a pure delight to enjoy the pizza and cider in. Totally chill and poser-free atmosphere clientele that included older folks, younger folks and even multi-generational family parties rounded off a the ambiance for a memorable experience. I highly recommend this gem that is off the beaten path but well worth...

Well maintained facility. A great place to hang out, listen to bands, and partake in the various delicious hard ciders on tap. The service was super friendly and helpful. They also served wood fired pizzas and had a food truck from Grappling Crab Shack on the premises. Great views of the surrounding mountains and orchards. Dress warmer than your first instinct, it can be windy and chilly up on the Big Hill. Maybe even bring stadium seat cushions and some throws if you’re there for the long haul. I also suggest bringing basic picnic/winery supplies like snacks, plates, wipes, etc. Parking was ample and accessible.

This has become my favorite place to get Hard Cider, the place doesn’t sell food, but they do have some really good rotating food trucks. The cider ranges from 5% to their limited Ice Cider at 10.7% and they have a large variety. The ciders also can range from semi sweet to dry to sour, also they do have some IPAs on tap. They do flights also, personal favorites are Barrel Aged, Ice Cider, and Standard. Very laid back with fire pits outside and they are open year round on the weekends. It is a drive but it’s worth it.
