Twirly Top is a gem nestled inbetween mountains. The euphoria of the ice cream hitting your taste buds on a hot muggy day is that of wading in the crisp cool Mountain creek that runs a weee little ways down from the stand. The people at the stand are professional and diligent in what they do. As for some complaints on here. Most of these people probably have never owned a business. The complexity of having everything come together to get that ice cream from the distributor to your taste buds has a lot more entailed than the the average eye can see. The prices here in my opinion are low for being a non-franchised business. Dare I say, the only way to go lower without making a profit would be having Richard Sterban from the Oak Ridge Boys sing the prices to you. As for the constraints in the confined location where the business is located at, I say they are very efficient in using the limited amount of space they have to make the experience as pleasent as possible. In conclusion, I recommend this place to anyone that loves ice cream a waffle lot. Thanks Twirly Top for the awesome nostalgic experiance and great tasting ice cream. Cone-gratulations on making a...
Read moreI was there with 6 friends on 6/19. We spent a good deal of money that day. My sandwich was delivered to the outside /covered area by itself but my drink was delivered on a tray to another table. None of the drinks were marked and there were diet drinks along with regular ones so they got mixed up. We took the 2 drinks back, having already drank from them and realizing it was wrong. One was diet that a diabetic person ordered. The girl at the stand was rude! She offered to pour out the regular soda and put the diet one in the same cup. That was okay with us. So she poured out half the regular soda and poured the diet one in with the the regular one. And wanted the diabetic Customer to accept it. She kept telling us this was NOT her fault and now she has to take money out of her tip jar to pay for the sodas. We got our new sodas and walked away to the rest of our friends. We were shocked that a person in the customer service industry could behave so. Okay, it's over. No it's not! She came out to the area and went on again how this was NOT her fault. Kept trying to rehash what happened....
Read moreI hope you guys are just having an “off day” today and this is not how it’s going to be for the rest of the Summer b/c I love this place 🥺 but….
When I got here there was a lady complaining about her hot dog. She said “you folks should be ashamed of yourselves.” I thought she was being a Karen until I got my food. I ordered a BCB burger and made it a meal with fries and a soda. My husband got just a sandwich. She gave us a rectangle box for my burger and there were no fries in the box. She gave us a square one for my husbands chicken sandwich. He didn’t realize there were no fries in my box until he walked to my car and I opened it. He then walked back to the window where the lady argued with him about it. She then came back out to the window and argued with him a second time until finally giving us my fries.
While we’re standing there receiving our fries, she handed 2 sandwiches to another customer who asked her which one had Mayo. She told the woman to open the...
