Subway — Restaurant in Dieterich

Stopped here on Labor Day, Sept 2, 2024 on the way home from Nashville. I ordered my sandwich and the girl made it, just as ordered. It was delicious! However, this girl was there all by herself. NO other help. Our party was 4 persons and while there, 3 more customers walked in. I asked if other employees had called off, and she said no, they just schedule 1 person. She said she was out of some bread because she had been trying to make bread for 2 hours, but customers keep coming in. I think this may be the only food stop open in this little town. So MY REVIEW IS FOR THE MANAGER: ZERO STARS!! This is crazy logic to schedule ONE employee to do the work of 2 or 3, especially on a holiday! Kudos to this girl for not walking out! Also, as a liability consideration, is this really SUBWAY'S POLICY to have only one employee scheduled considering SAFETY Policy? If that employee gets injured in any way on the job, OR if someone wants to cause trouble or harm to anyone, who would call 911? PLEASE reconsider your...

I will admit, I haven't been to this Subway, but I have to say it looks like the nicest Subway in America. It's a large, free-standing-unit (I didn't even know Subway franchised those) in what may have previously been a Pizza-Hut given the roof-shape, but maybe not because it also looks pretty new and clean. Looks like great parking and the landscaping is immaculate. Whoever owns this place clearly takes pride in their restaurant. My sandwich lady, even stressed, was very kind, polite, and helpful. My sandwich was perfect, and I am happy for the recommendations she made to me regarding toasting a flatbread or just heating it up(toasting was recommended so it doesn't dry the flatbread out before eating). The restaurant and restrooms were spotless. The drink machine was clean and in working order. My sandwich lady changed her gloves multiple times and PROPERLY washed her hands between tasks.
