Let's start by saying I walked out with NOTHING so I can't rate the food. I was traveling to see my family on a Thursday evening. They LOVE Popeyes chicken and there is none in their area. I stopped here because there was a drive thru and I have 3 hours left in my trip I didn't want to spend too much time. Mistake #1 Drive thru not taking cards but I could come inside. I have seen lots of other restaurants use different register for payments but whatever it's for my family. The place wasn't busy. There was one person ordering and one person walked in in front of me. So in my head this would be quick. Mistake #2 It seemed to have taken an extremely long time for those two guys to get there order. There were several workers mostly standing around but the woman (I hesitate to call her that) kept calling the manager for EVERYTHING. I placed my order a 16 piece chicken mild for my family and a 3 piece dark mild and a coke for me. She called the manager AGAIN to ask if the chicken only was the box. Seriously, then she calls the manager to ask how they were going to box the chicken with no big boxes. I'm standing to the side waiting, without a cup for my drink. 3 people walk in after my. I guy ordered 3 spicy strips and he was out. A woman was trying to order food for her family that took longer that it should. While waiting & after paying almost $50 the person at the register looks over at me & says it will be 15 minutes to drop fresh chicken. I said you should've told me that when I ordered. I said I didn't ask for hot chicken it will be cold when I get where I'm going. Then a younger guy comes out to start boxing food and the person at the register switch out. The manager is in the back trying to start to fry the chicken. Now several minutes have past since I ordered it is 6:30-6:45 they don't close at 7 and you haven't started the chicken. The guy asked me if the chicken that was out was ok. I said yes, I'm on the road and need to go. So he boxed up my 16 pieces of chicken the attempted to box of my 3 piece. He looks at me and asked if 2 breast and a thigh would work I o ly have breast ans thigh. I said I like dark meat do you have 2 thighs. He looked again and said all I have is 1 thigh. I said fine. This is when EVERYTHING fell apart, remember the first person/woman ar the register reappear. She offer me spicy chicken. I said I don't want spicy I ordered mild for a reason. She said we could drop some more it'll be 15 minutes, the manager in the back has still not started frying yet. I said I don't want to wait I'll take what you have. Then this unprofessional imp said I hate when they do that, place a big order an complain about what we have. That was when I lost it. I have had a special type of patience for the wait due to everyone being short staff but I will not pay for rudeness. I said I was not complaining I said I'll take what you had but you know what keep it all and give me my money back. I said I don't pay people to treat me bad. Give me my money back. The new lady at the register had to call Ashley the manager, who still has not started the chicken to come give me my money back. But it's too late I am hot and letting them have it. I said I wasn't complaining but I don't live here I have 3 more hours to drive and didn't want to spend this much time in here. I wasn't complaining but I need to go. The guy boxing my chicken said no you didn't complain. The person who started this said you are lucky I am on my job as she walked out to smoke. Ashley said NOTHING how are you a manager and not even apologizing to the customer. When she walked out they guy said do tou still want it I said no you staff is rude and obviously your manager is ok with it she mot saying anything. You are off 95 not everyone who stops in here lives here and has all day some people have other places to be. You are a chicken place when was 16 pieces a big order and if you don't have it tell me when I order so I can decide what I want to do. I wasted 30 minutes and left...
Read moreI have always liked the food from Popeyes. I guess that’s why I have kept coming back over the years but it seems like it’s always something when I go to the one in Dillon.
Went there one time and was told Our credit card machine is not working, cash only. Okay, I have cash. I pull ahead after ordering and see the driver in front of me paying with card, so I hand the lady my card, she looks at me funny as she takes it but it worked just fine.
My most recent event (12-17-23 around noon) was me wanting to use coupons that I received in the mail. I don’t normally use them but hey, $2 is $2. I go to the drive thru and upon the completion of my order, I announce that I have coupons. That’s when the lady taking my order informs me that I will have to pay full price because I did not tell her prior to ordering and she all ready punched in my order. They were not busy and there was no line in front or behind me in the drive thru so I asked, can’t you just cancel it and start over in which she replied “say what!?, no, you have to pay full price”. I guess she canceled it or the person behind me paid because I rolled up my window and we to BK where the do it my way.
Just to be clear, all employees are not rude like this but the ones that are make it...
Read morePopeyes corporate send help, this place needs rescued. Service was lack luster, food was blah, place was dirty, however the biggest problem was that they simply didn’t have anything. It would be easier to say what they had on hand then what they didn’t, asked for coleslaw- no coleslaw, asked for ketchup - no ketchup, drink machine only had two drink options out of the 8 or 9 available, lady had to give me ice from behind the counter because the one in the dining area didn’t work. Had to wait 7 minutes for a classic chicken sandwich, no special order just plain ole #1. This makes me believe this is a management issue. Obviously lack of inventory control is a whole another issue. Cleanliness is a laziness problem. Love me some Popeyes, but if my name was on this building I would shut this place down until these problems were corrected, the staff was better trained and management was provided a coaching...
