This establishment has some perks, like the view. Our waitress was very nice and energetic which we appreciated and it made it more fun. We came for 2 birthdays, so we wanted drinks but they do not have a drink menu and the items we wanted they couldn't make ( Pina colada and a strawberry margarita. They also have no beer on tap, only cans). So not a full service bar that the menu stated, so we just had canned beers. The small salad bar was ok, pasta salad and potato salad was good. Great ranch dressing! Appetizers were good, we had onion rings, maz sticks, and cauliflower). We had one vegitarian and they really don't have anything but a salad and grilled cheese for them to eat which was kind of disappointing to them but it wasn't their birthday so it wasn't too big of a deal. Steak was very good, the tenderloin was good, buffalo chicken strips were good, the ribs were just ok and the chef salad was just ice burg lettuce and no other lettuce and average topping. They were not impressed. If they could improve the bar, chef salad, and get some vegitarian options ( it's pretty easy to get foods that they could tweek to eat) I would give a better review. Our experience would have been much worse if it were not for the staff, so they saved the day! All and all it was a meh experience. We didn't live there, so traveled some to try. Fix the things mentioned and we would try it again due to the staff being so friendly and engaged! Thank you staff!

Went to the bar to wait for a table …got our first drinks then proceeded to watch the bartender hike her foot up on the cooler showing a customer her bunion's touching her feet and shoes …in the meantime I was ready for another drink …one of the waitresses stepped up beside me and I told her what we just saw, and the bartender did not wash her hands. She came over to ask me if I wanted another drink, and I told her that she needed to wash her hands because we just watched her touch her feet and her shoes. Response was “oh I didn’t even think anything about it” and got hand sanitizer, not soap and water. The waitress must’ve went and told somebody and the bartender proceeded to tell me that if I had a problem with her, I needed to just speak with her, not tell her staff and talk shit about her. Needless to say when we went to our table for dinner, we didn’t order any more drinks from her. We ordered deep fried pork chops, meatloaf, special, and deep-fried cod dinner. Everything was very good and our waitress Savana was great !

The restaurant is right along the Rock River with a nice view of the river birds and boats going by. There is plenty of free parking, most of it is not marked and gravel so it is difficult with a walker, cane or wheelchair. The restaurant is handicap accessible as long as there is someone to open the door for you. The restaurant was very clean and well appointed. We went had a table of 5 and ordered a variety of things from sandwiches to steaks the dinner meals came with the soup and salad bar. The food was served hot and fresh but it it was very spread out time wise and we had to ask for things that should have came out with the meal for example the top of the pork tenderloin's bun. The server was very friendly and as soon as we reminded her of things she brought them right out. The kitchen might want to work on it's timing and prep as sending out the same table's meals spaced out over 10 minutes could make the server look bad. There is a full bar and video poker machines if that is to your liking.
