They will charge you more than you signed for as a card fee. That's their business expense, not yours. I was not informed, nor was my sister. Businesses should include this in the price listed on the check, the price you agree to pay! You see this often with card charges at stores where people buy only one or two small items because it's not worth the cost of the bank transaction for the business. We called Don Julio to discuss it, and they were rude and argumentative. They lost our future business, even though we were starting to prefer coming there often. Their loss, and we will contest the charge with our bank. What we sign for is what we should pay; it does not matter how much more, even $0.01! We tipped about 25% on our meal in cash, as we usually tip well. It was a shock to see extra charges and encounter argumentative, rude employees afterward. The food is not the best I have had, but it does the job if you are hungry and in the area. My quesadilla had a lot of grease and unmelted cheese, and my sister said their rice was undercooked. Table service is good, but don't expect any service beyond that. An apology was never given from them or an ounce of...
Read moreI have lunch at Don Julios at least every other week, often more frequently, with my buddy who lives near there. Been doing that since they opened. The drive from The Nations, where I live, is like 15 minutes up Briley Parkway and Clarksville Hwy. Well worth the trip! The food is consistently delicious, the service excellent, and the prices, especially with the copious number of changing daily specials, are a boon for an old retired teacher like me. The place is clean as can be and I love the decorations and the privacy of the booths. Alhough I rarely sit at the bar I can still marvel at the collection of tequilas and look forward to sampling many of them. Hint: the frozen margaritas are the shizzzzzz. Say hi for me to the hospitable and friendly...
Read moreGreat product overall (for middle Tennessee) ice tea was a little light without flavor, chips perfect, salsa perfect, guacamole perfect, service started out welcoming, ordered the fundido and got queso, whenever I asked if I ordered the wrong thing a manager said that’s how they do it - and when i said that’s interesting I’ve never seen that-I expected Oaxacan cheese in a skillet- he said “i should know I’m Mexican” Never got an ice tea refill. Asked for the ceiling fan to be turned down because the paper napkin’s on our laps table kept blowing on the floor- never turned it down. Steak Fajita nachos were outstanding. We were one of 3-4 tables in the restaurant so they...
