Not really a good place to eat Mexican food. Most of the food items had the definite articles of "La" ("the" translated in Spanish) in front of food items listed, in an attempt to make it sound Mexican cuisine. Food wasn't really well cooked and was actually soggy, as if the sauce was microwaved with blandness. Whenever entering the building, my family and I were greeted well but was quickly seen by the rest of the customers as outsiders (probably because they never saw a Mexican family at a Mexican-American themed restaurant). The food I ordered didn't come with a spoon, so I kindly asked the waiter for one. But what came back was a small spoon for toddlers as if I was being made fun of. My 9 year old daughter took one bite of one of three of her terribly bland “shrimp” tacos, didn’t like, and they blatantly refused to take it off of the bill. After that I was basically verbally assaulted by an EXTREMELY rude employee (Karonda Holmes sp?) who pretended to call 911 because I recorded her extremely inappropriate behavior.
The quality of the food was mediocre to poor. I truly hope this is not a representation of Napoleonville dining. You’d do better going to Subway....
Read moreThis place fails as a Cajun restaurant and a Mexican restaurant. Blending the two together makes little sense. The food is bland and run-of-the-mill. Shell pieces on shrimp, guacomole on top of a slice of tomato and calling it a guac salad, I could keep going, but you get the idea. I'm confident the only reason this place is still open is due to the severe lack of other restaurants in the area.
They would have received two stars, but you have to try pretty hard to make shrimp wrapped with bacon...
