Friendly staff, great food! Simple formula, works all the time.
Reason we came was a curiosity if the RGV had any El Salvadorian food in a search for pupusas. Looked on-line. Sure enough. They had the best reviews.
Indeed, the pupusas were great, living up to billing, particularly the melt in the mouth pork. Our waitress agreed saying they are the most popular.
Well, they also serve breakfast until 11 am, so we returned a couple days later. The migas did not disappoint, nor did the gorditas ranking as the best.

They did take our order quickly and gave us chips and salsa. But the chips were just crumbs with a ton of oil dripping from them. The server told us they were taking forever because it was only one person making the food yet about three other tables that came in way after us had already received their food. We tried to be understanding (which keep in mind it was not busy at all) but i just thought it was crazy to wait over an hour...
