Nothing to write home about just yet. Ordered the basic steak medium. The steak was medium rare at best but tasted good. No special seasoning that I could pickup on and was rather small for a steak of $22. The salad was just a plate of lettuce covered in onions, and ranch with one slice of tomato. Not my kind of salad especially without cheese but whatever. I ordered an old fashioned but they didn't know how to make it. But, if you like lots Bourbon over ice with a splash of bitters then you are in luck. Lol. They made my drinks nice and tall too. I came in rather late so it was slow and quiet and last to leave. Staff was nice and friendly as well.

What an interesting place. We were the only people in the restaurant which was very nice; however, it was strange that ordering, getting our food, and paying took a very long time. The gentlemen working were polite and the food was good. The menu had a mix of Indian and American offerings for a reasonable price. The restaurant is connected to the hotel (bathrooms too, actually)

After living and working in Bangalore, India, for some time, I'm so happy to have found authentic Indian food in Douglas, Wyoming. Had the Shahi Paneer, channa daal, parotha, garlic butter Naan and gulab jamun. Everything was FANTASTIC! Highly recommend eating here if you're looking for authentic Indian cooking. High praises to Garry and Sonu. Pukka! 👍🙏

Chutes Restaurant has changed ownership over the years--it is now an Indian restaurant (that also serves fare like ribeye steaks, likely to cater to the meat-and-potatoes clientele). The Indian entrees are EXCEPTIONAL. I've been to restaurants all over the world, including India, and the food served here is some of the best ever, rivaling the Indian food served in cities considered cuisine meccas. I feel like you'd never know an Indian restaurant is part of the hotel (the only signage at this point is something that flashes across the digital billboard outside), however it's worth the visit--and, echoing other reviewers, if you haven't tried Indian food, just ask the chef for recommendations and give it a shot--you will not be disappointed. Get the word out--Douglas is so fortunate to have this...

While I was in Douglas I had 2 dinners. Both surpassed my expectations tremendously. Not only was the curry sauce phenomenal and capful but the rice was fresh and tender, and the meat in the curry was OUT OF THIS WORKD tender !!!

I went back eagerly for another meal and had the Ribeye which was so big I could barely eat it all. The quality of the beef was top notch but also the smoky flavour and perfect cook to rare was the best. It might be the best steak I’ve had in my life even compared to steak bbq places in Argentina amd Brazil which I thought were the best.

Gary’s friendliness was amazing and we were always being checked in on at the perfect...

I was overjoyed to see that the Indian food made it through the pandemic! I grew up in Douglas, but have lived in the PNW my entire adult life, and have gotten a little spoiled with great restaurants. The Indian food here would be a top choice for me even back in my current home of Portland, Oregon. We shared three dishes, and had leftovers. The chai is authentic and SO delicious with rich flavors of ginger and cardamom, and the mango lassi creamy and tangy, like a party in my mouth. As for the atmosphere— I grew up here and even waited tables in the restaurant 20 years ago, so it feels very homey to me. :) Service was super friendly...
