Hog N Bones -Douglas — Restaurant in Douglas

Usually I do not write reviews or complain, but the customer service I just received was ridiculous! I went through the drive window and ordered a breakfast sandwich and a drink for my daughter. The lady who took my order told me they were serving lunch so I had to change my order to a lunch item as the teller requested. Mind you no drink comes with anything so I’m not sure why she failed to ring up the drink I requested. So I get to the window and advise she left off the drink I requested willing to pay for my drink she failed to list on my order. I was advised to drive back around and order again for her mistake. Being that I didn’t have time wait, I left. I reached out to the manager and she advised she was aware of what happened and basically she cares more about meeting her drive time goal than insuring her customers get correct orders! Basically she was saying it was my fault her teller didn’t add my drink. And she has a drive time to meet! Wow I work in customer service and this was extremely poor...

Consistently terrible service. For the past several times we have gone here for breakfast, they have taken over 30 minutes to give us our breakfast order. It's not a complicated order--2 sausage and egg biscuits and 2 coffees at around 6:45 AM. But, each time we go, we end up waiting AT LEAST 30 minutes for this order. The first time it happened, they apologized and offered us a free cinnamon roll. We figured it was just an off day--everyone has them, right? The second time it happened, they apologized but did not offer to compensate in any way. The third time it happened they didn't even apologize. The best part is that when we finally did get our food each time, the biscuits were mashed and soggy and the sandwich tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. Thank heavens Chick-Fil-A is open now, though, really, any of Douglas's fast food breakfast spots is better than this. We won't be back to the Douglas Hog N Bones. I suggest you...

I appreciate these people. They went above and beyond for us. It was nearing end of breakfast serving time. When we went in and asked for breakfast, they told us they were no longer serving breakfast and had started lunch. Ok but we wanted breakfast. We were ok with this and completely understood so we left. Before we could even make it to our car, one of these workers ran out to bring us back in and told us they would serve us breakfast! Who does that? No one I know! We were so appreciative that they wanted our business enough that they would accommodate our wants! We got our breakfast and it was superb! Thank you to these most gracious people. I definitely recommend them and will be back again....
