Bark River Yacht Club — Restaurant in Dousman

Went for fish fry. The place is your normal neighborhood bar and grill. Lots of locals and friendly. No yachts and not even any water. Nice selection including fried cod, baked cod, blue gill, walleye and shrimp. Between 5 of us we tried the fried cod and shrimp and combinations of the 2 All were cooked well and tasty. The tartar sauce was good and the shrimp sauce has a nice bite. They started us with creamy cole slaw, marble rye bread and wonderful German potato salad. I would go back just for that potato salad. Dinner came with choice of potato including pancakes, Fries and baked potato. We all enjoyed the potato pancakes which were crispy on the outside and yummy on the inside. We found this place after my son’s baseball game. Amazing evening. The food was delicious, and our waitress was outstanding!!! She doted on our 3yr old like he was her own. We live in New Berlin, but have decided after tonight, that this is our new favorite for a fish fry!!! It was honestly incredible. IF I had to ask for anything, I’d only ask for a better beer menu. It was pretty sparse... but that’s minimal- I got a mixed drink...

Don't be fooled by the name. I'm rating this for what it is, a basic dive bar restaurant and they do it well. Easy to find. Plenty of parking in the rear lot. Stopped in on a Friday afternoon and it had a handful of locals there to eat and watch sports on one or more of the many TV's.
