Habanero's Tacos and Margaritas — Restaurant in Dover

The food is generally pretty good and I've never had a negative experience with the staff directly. If you're wanting the best food and best service, dine in. The take out and online order process struggles a bit.

Unfortunately, I order take out most of the time and there are often details that are overlooked or ignored.

For instance, I picked up 3 orders for our office and all the orders except for one were short a bag of chips. Then we did a group order today for 4 people and got 1 bag of chips. I often order two orders of chips & queso and they often only give 1 bag of chips despite paying for 2. Or the containers of cheese will be filled only halfway. Or sometimes there isn't salsa at all. Details and things like that that when ignored, make a pretty big difference.

I don't enjoy giving negative reviews and I'll still be back as I like to support local business, but there are some things that could use improvement

Overall, the people working there are really nice, and I've never had a bad experience with bad attitudes or rudeness from the staff. That's worth a lot to me. Typically I will completely roast a place in a review if the staff are rude or terrible, but that's definitely not...

We decided to try your restaurant & we were there for the Karaoke also. Several of us ordered food & the food was good, but the service was horrible!! We didn't get silverware, we had to asked another waitress/Waiter. Your facility is beautiful, but it seems to be very neglected! We noticed a lot of cobwebs, dirt. Your tables need to have a covering on them, because all the food that is washed off of the table goes in every crack & it's gross to sit there and look at that! Your bathrooms definitely are ignored!! There was trash & other items on the floor. The toilet paper & the paper towels were not even in the dispensers. The door stop was broke & laying on the floor. It just seems to be a lot of neglected areas & that's ashame when your building is in such a beautiful spot & your food is good. Stopped in unexpectedly on New Year's Eve. We had dinner and it was excellent. I really can't say enough about it. I expected mediocrity but it really was top notch. I think I speak for several when I say we eat with our eyes first, and that alone was terrific. The presentation was spectacular, but then that first bite.... delicious! I had gotten the spicy pineapple margarita it was less than what I expected, especially in comparison to the food. It wasn't bad tasting, but maybe badly named. There was no spice at all but instead sweet& sour. Our server was right on top of things for us, and that too made our visit worthy of another go. I did expect the decor to be different than what it is. It's definitely not typical of a "Mexican" restaurant. But if you're thinking about trying it I'd say go for it and see for yourself!! Maybe we'll see ya...
