This zoo is, without exaggeration, one of the most delightful places you can visit! It has everything you could ask for — filled with friendly, gentle animals that are clean, calm, and absolutely adorable. What makes it even better is that you can interact with them up close — feed them, play with them, and enjoy their company without any stress. They’re clearly used to people, comfortable around visitors, and genuinely seem happy and excited to engage. It feels like they recognize you — no fear, no running away, just pure joy and curiosity!
The cleanliness of the place is impressive, from the enclosures to the walkways and seating areas. You can tell there’s a high level of care and attention to every detail. And let’s not forget the staff — incredibly friendly, helpful, and always smiling. They clearly love what they do, and they’re more than happy to answer questions and make sure every guest has a great experience.
Right outside the zoo, you’ll find a wonderful selection of nearby shops and cafés that fit the vibe perfectly. Whether you’re grabbing a bite to eat, enjoying a relaxing drink, or picking up a cute souvenir, there’s something for everyone.
Truly a heartwarming experience worth repeating — a place that lifts your spirits the...
Read moreWe have never had to throw out food before. But we bought 3 pies and 2 fruitcake. Horrible couldn’t eat one piece, had to throw them all out. I don’t believe the Amish made any of these items themselves, if they did they should be ashamed to call themselves Amish. The Amish done went commercialized and suck at baking anymore. Since when do the Amish use margarine in their pies . You pay for the Amish name only. Rip off !
Update - Yes I am sure it was your store . We have visited the farm and taken buggy ride, bought popcorn , ice cream and ate at the hamburger stand.
Sorry but I didn’t think to take a picture of the pies and fruit cake labels before we threw them out.
The fruit cakes had some kind of clear gel gooey stuff on top , we couldn’t hardly get it out of the pan . It was a mess.
The peanut butter pie tasted horrible- did not taste a bit of peanut butter - crust crumbled- couldn’t even finish one piece- the label did list margarine as an ingredient.
Pecan pie did list butter as an ingredient- but we couldn’t eat it- the taste was not to our liking. Sorry for the brutal response, but we were really not happy with...
Read moreOne-day admission is $5.00 per person. If you purchase animal feed, it is $1.00 for 2 carrots, $1.00 for half of a tiny paper catsup cup of bird seed, and $2 each (or 3/$5) for a cone of goat feed or fry tray of sliced carrots. The parakeets seemed to prefer the green stems of the carrots over the bird seed. They have pony rides, horse riding, and horse and buggy rides available for a fee. There was a good assortment of farm animals to feed and pet. The path from the inside animals to the outside animals was somewhat muddy. They could definitely use more gravel on the path. Food and drinks were available onsite. Parking was adequate. The bathrooms accommodate 3 people at a time, but were old and run down. Telephone reception in parts of Amish country is not great. Fun for both kids and adults! There were tip cups for the cashiers in the store, which I found confusing. Nice assortment of produce, baked goods, dairy items, home-canned items, and other food for sale. Amish gliders, tables, chairs, bird feeders, leather goods, and other items for...
