Richie & Reggie's BBQ — Restaurant in Dresden

With only the drive thru open, the man asked what I wanted and we came to a conclusion of what I needed to feed my large family. When I asked how much it cost he disappeared for fifteen minutes and came back with the food. He wouldn't give me the price until he gave me the food into my vehicle. $65 is what he said, which was $10-$15 more than what I would have paid at my regular great bbq joint, Perry's, in Paris. Since the menu wasn't given to me, I'm not sure if I was scammed, but it felt like it. The sauce was like ketchup with water. Bbq had no salt, was partly pulled and partly cut up, and smoke flavor was that of oak and misc rather than hickory or pecan. Buns were Clover Valley junk from dollar general. What a nice treat. We were passing through town on our way from Reelfoot NWR to Georgia and decided to give this place a try. We were treated very kindly by Reggie and learned a lot about his history with making some really good bbq. He used to do competitions but has decided his best choice at this time in his life is to prepare the best meal he can for the locals. Best dang bbq i ever ate, and ive tried bbq from virginia on over to west Kentucky, ate with me my dad and his wife, dad had ribs he said it was the best he ever had, his wife agreed too. I had the bbq sandwhich was to die for, he even let us try a sample of his potatoe salads, which both were to die for. His deserts though.... just melt in your mouth good, the banana cream pie was the best ever. 15/10 will definitely return...
