Burnt my pizza for the 3rd time. Didn't expect thick crust wanted the old fashioned thin. No one asked me which kind I wanted. I never had to specify before. The sauce had way too tomatoe taste not very flavorful or seasoned and overboard on the garlic. The sausage seemed processed not home cooked or made there . More like Casey has station sausage. I ordered a half order of cheese bread and it was very pidilly too for $6.99. When I opened the box I was shocked so I started taking pictures of the portion and burned crust. The bread was really tiny and only had 2 pieces of bread in it. Not like yummy Carbonies where you get 8 pieces, a liter of pop & a giant thin crust pizza with 3 toppings for $27.00. My bill here was $37.96. This place used to have good pizza, but not anymore. They always burn my pizza. The crust taste like floury and hard to chew, it was tough didn't help it was burned for the 3rd time. Their prices are outrageous. Not coming back again. It's sad because I live in Dresser and like to patronize local businesses. The cashier wasn't very friendly either she just got my pizza and told me the amount. She was flat on personality. I don't know what happened to this place ingredients have changed and the sauce. I wanted to post my burned pizza and cheesey sized portion of cheese toasted bread, but nowhere for pics on here. I wanted to show the pictures of the joke 2 pieces of bread for $3.50 a piece ridiculous price for 2 pieces of bread and they are small.. I don't think this branch will last except for tourists that don't know any better. I usually give outstanding reviews, but had to share my bad experience. Maybe don't order...
Read moreWe utilized Village Pizzeria as the caterer for our wedding and they were fantastic! We met with Luke the catering manager for a taste test and we were blown away. When we had that first test, we knew that this was who we wanted to go with. They accommodated the gluten free option that we need for a few of our guests. We kept in constant communication surrounding the big day and were very good at reassuring us that it will go off without any issue. With context to the inflation issue that surrounded the US they stuck with the same price point per plate for the catering as well which was a nice touch for us so there wasn’t any addition to costs. Luke and his team showed up on time for the dinner and prepared the buffet area perfectly. The employees were super friendly and respectful to all the guests and party members. Every one of my friends who had the fettucine alfredo said its some of the best they’ve ever had. All around great experience with them catering our wedding and would recommend them 10 times over. We have been looking to stop by for dinner one of these weekends and express our thanks in person on top of...
Read moreWhile staying in St. Croix Falls, WI we opted to try the Village Pizzeria in the nearby town of Dresser. I'm really glad we did or we'd have missed a great meal.
What we ordered wasn't anything exotic, just a Caprese salad (fresh mozzarella and tomatoes, with basil and olive oil) and a pizza. But how they prepare the food was awesome!
First, having lived in Italy for three years I'm a reasonably good judge of Caprese salads, and this one was fantastic, and it was also VERY large. The pizza was unique and very good, but the one problem it had that knocked off a star on this review was the crust. It probably would have been good crust, but it was burned beyond belief. I love eating pizza crusts, but when the edges and bottom are burned so badly, that's a little more than I can handle. I made it through the bottom portion but the edges were inedible.
I will definitely return, but I'll ask for the crust to be a little less cooked. And I'll be sure to have another...
