Horrible customer service!!! I placed an order for 1/2 pan of dressing, I placed three calls after my order to confirm my pick up date and time for November 9, 2023. One call I was told my request was thrown in the trash because she thought it was for October 9th, my order was again confirmed for November but I explained I needed to change the date for pick up November 8th 2023. I did a follow call again on November 7th confirming my date November for pick up November 8 at 11:00 AM and the girl on the phone confirmed to the COOK that I was on the phone and she again confirmed my date and time, November 8th. I live one hour drive away, I arrived at the restaurant at 11:15 and the I advised the same young lady I had been confirming my date and pick up time, she addressed me by my last name! She went to the back and then came back without the dressing and whispered to the cook, I can’t remember her name but it’s a nickname maybe (V) no one came over for several minutes, finally an older lady approached us and said, I’m so sorry, they didn’t tell us about your order and you should have called me, I don’t know her or her phone number!! She even confirmed that I had called the day before to confirm my order, date and time-No apologies, nothing but your order was not cooked. I had this same experience last year with the same cook(V) and all she said last year was, I’m so sorry, they didn’t tell me, but I’m assuming the owner was in there that day for the Thanksgiving pickups and she gave us a large pan of dressing because all (V) offered was. I’m sorry!!! I try to support black owned business but the customer service is awful, especially on catering orders. This is my last time patronizing with this establishment. TREASURED!!! My family and I came back from Savannah celebrating St Pats and wanted some good food to sober up further. Someone mentioned soul food so we googled it and found Hometown Grill.

WHOAAA!!! This place was phenominal! First we always check inspection reports and they had 100 on theirs! We probably ate every dish from their food bar and we sampled from one another and everything we ate was DELICIOUS. I have a mom, three sisters, and 11 aunts AND THEY ALL CAN COOK so I am an expert. I was very disappointed with the grill on today......They are usually professional and the food is great....But today I ordered 3 to go plates when I got there no one came to the window to wait on me .....I waited for about 5 minutes no one still didn't come .... They were waiting on the people on the inside....which I understand that they were busy.....But they could have had enough respect for me to tell me to hold on ....They just watched me and kept doing what they were doing....so I waited a little while longer before I called....I called twice no answer.....I usually go there often....But today was my last day going ......
