Burkey's Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Dubuque

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I normally enjoy this place even though the service has always been awful. The food is usually decent. We ordered two things of wings, cheese curds, a Sirloin dinner, fish sandwich and a brisket sandwich. They waited till we got there to tell us they had no wings. Asked us if he wanted anything else. I asked him if they were going to re-cook the whole order so the rest of our food doesn’t go bad by the time that was done. And of course they said no so they want Us to wait 20 minutes to cook new food while all the rest of our food died. They said they refund us our money for the wings. They charge 550 each for the wings and they only gave us $10 back. (Watch the change they give you they have a problem with simple math. Not the first time they gave me back the wrong change) I called them and they told me I could come back and pick my dollar very rudely. Or they could just Owe me a dollar. I was pretty upset considering they screwed up everything that we ordered. We ordered the steak medium rare and it came extra well done. The fish sandwich didn’t have lettuce on it. And it seem like they cook the cheese curds first they were all ice cold and dried out. Terrible customer service didn’t even apologize or try and make anything right he just told me to come pick...

Went in yesterday to check out the food as I kept hearing great things about it and was not disappointed. I had the Burkey Burger which was a huge 3/4 lb burger served on Texas Toast. My only reservation was that the meat was not seasoned but it didn't stop me from thoroughly enoying the large meal. Fries were good & cole slaw was awesome..The staff worked well together and provided prompt and friendly service. You could tell they were really engaged in their job and made sure everyone got taken care of. The decor was amazing too! I can't wait to go back next weekend and take my daughter to eat there....

Great Atmosphere, seems like a fun bar, wasn't too impressed with the food/food prices specifically the shrimp dinner. Came in last Friday for the fish special, but they had ran out at the time, which means it probably amazing, so I settled on the shrimp dinner which according to the menu was a 6 piece jumbo shrimp with side of potato for $19.50 either grilled or fried. I order grilled with hashbrowns, the hashbrowns were amazing, but they gave me 6 small shrimp.........for $20.00, and it took about 30-40 minutes to get our food.....ill give the place another chance but not on the...
